I’m taking a break from cleaning a shelf. There’s a huge amount of crap on that shelf, so it’ll probably take all day.
Dang Midget, just how big is that shelf? 
I have more ironin’ to do but for now I declare that I am stoppin’. I shall do more later. Really. I promise. Honest.

I repaired the pump plumbing that froze at the Trailer In The Woods. It rained all the way there, slacked up when I arrived, began raining like hell when I opened the car door, and continued to do so until the moment I turned the wrench the last time.

Feelin’ icky- was supposed to be going to a friend’s 30th, but I just want to spend the night in, so I am- I suspect I might be comin’ down with the lurgy, so I don’t want to spread it around…
Oh well, there’s chocolate 'n beer in the house, and we all get on well, so I think we might just have a nice night in together.
I am cursed. We went to Bert’s for a burger, and once again, the slice of tomato on my burger was from the core end of the tomato - more core than tomato. I swear, every place we go, whether I get a burger or a sammich with tomato, I get core slices. They’re even worse when the restaurant buys those nasty pinkish hot house tomatoes. I think I’m going to start saying “No 'maters!!!”
Bert’s is a diner, and they have the old juke-box thingies in the booths. I decided to drop a quarter in and I picked Penny Lane. It played Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town - I think someone goofed. And I was bummed - I wanted to hear some Beatles.
All the backsplashes are uninstalled. **FCD **just ran out to get fast-drying mud so we can repair a few spots in the wall. Monday, I’ll slap some primer on the walls before the contractors get here. Next weekend, I’ll paint. Then we’ll be ready to fest!
Last load is in the washer. It is not a lazy day here. dammit.
The house is now de-christmatized, inside and out, laundry is in a state of launding, and the fridge has been scrubbed out so it’s shiny and white in there again.
I think I deserve at least a cookie now…

I am very excited. I started a thread in IMHO asking for opinions on fringe, and kayT mentioned a ruana, which I’d never heard of before. I’ve looked up a couple of patterns and I’m really excited to make one or a dozen. Is it pathetic that I’m all excited about another knitting project??

Since the visitor that I was expecting to show up never came (long black robe, bony hand carrying a sickle), I took a shower, [del]burned[/del] washed the Sick clothes & went out on the bike for the first (easy) miles of the year. It’s amazing how cold it gets once the sun drops. Came home & did a shot of [del]booze[/del] cough syrup. I was okay on the bike, but it hit me bad once I stopped; go figure. :rolleyes:
What is the difference between Vicks Formula 44D & Jaegermeister? That’s a serious question & not a joke as they taste the same.
Having a an exotic dinner of baby wookie steaks - never had them before but I hear they’re a little chewie.
I will not buy Jaegermeister because if I want sump’n that tastes og awful to drink, Vicks Formula 44D is cheaper and tastes the same.
Dindin is et and the rest of the ironin’ is done. See, I said I’d finish it!
That’s how I was today. I went for a three mile walk with no problems but once I got back home it was a different story.
I am an emotional mess falling apart this evening and my friend that I consult when I am in my worst emotional messes is out of the country. Lovely that email she’ll return to in two weeks. 
I guess I should pull myself together and go to bed.
