The Dog Watch MMP

Gray, Swampy is an old guy, like me.

I feel guilty as hell being humorous when other MMPers have such damn bad stuff going on.

{{{{{{Wiki, WikiMom}}}}}}

Hey, humour is a good thing. Without humour we’d all be terribly depressed.

My BFF made me laugh on the phone today with her sexual escapes about her and her husband, and for a few minutes I didn’t feel sick. Humor is always a good thing.

Knock knock

Who’s there?

Dwayne.

Dwayne who?

Dwayne the bathtub, I’m dwoning

Never claimed it was good…

I killed the MMP with a lethal knock knock joke.

Made me laugh, anyway, Soapy.

Hugs and good thoughts headed to wiki and wikiMom.

I was also a boring good kid. We had all-night parties after various events in college, but they involved telling jokes, playing games and making music and not much alcohol at all.

My favorite evening adventure happened the first summer I spent in Germany. We had classes 4 days a week and had Eurailpasses so that we could travel during our 3-day weekends.

One weekend we went to Salzburg and wound up staying at a bed and breakfast somewhere outside of town. It was a 5-minute train ride back from town. I don’t remember how it happened, but we missed the last train and had to figure out how to get back to the B&B.

The directions we got took us through some woods. It was dark, we had no flashlight, and this was before cell phones. Very spooky. After a while, we got to an inn; but not to our B&B. Somehow, whoever gave us directions thought we were trying to get there. :smack: The nice people at the inn gave us correct directions and we finally made it back to the B&B much later than planned. (I think we walked for a couple of hours.)

We never felt unsafe, but it felt surreal to be lost in the woods; kind of like we’d been transported into a different world.

Irked, came home, chatted with hockey Lady:). Found out one of my hockey friends and her husband died in a motorcycle accident today. :frowning:

Roll Tide!!!

I hear they’re making a movie about that.

We got a counter offer. We’re close, but not there. Tomorrow we’ll respond. Here’s hoping they don’t get a higher offer before we get ours in!

Knock knock jokes never are. However I saw what you did there… ** Soapy ** joking about tubs.

Lying in bed w/ the tv (news) on. Apparently today is the anniversary of the biggest snowstorm ever in this area. Yeah, I remember it well as the day I saw the most horrific thing ever.
Bobbio
can tell ya, EMS’ers share our war stories like badge of honor, yet I’ve NEVER talked about this one - that bad, maybe worse! Now I wanna go downstairs & get a good stiff drink. :frowning:

This works for me.

Busy week, lots of church-related stuff (which is good, I need to get out more), and have pest control coming tomorrow (ants in January? Really?).

Wish I knew what I did to my neck/upper back. Something back there feels like a knot’s been tied in some muscle/tendon/ligament/whatever.

Since I don’t drink or use recreational drugs, a sense of humor is my primary coping strategy.

Granted, mine goes well beyond “twisted” and can fairly be described as “sprained”.

If you had, you’d have run afoul of truth in labeling. That was a groaner.

On a more serious note, wasn’t this year supposed to be BETTER than last year? Sure is off to a cruddy start.

Thanks guys, mom appreciates your prayers, thoughts and well wishes, as do I. She is claiming that she is going home tomorrow (today), but she isn’t. In addition to the pneumonia she has a blood clot somewhere, and she may have had a heart attack. She is not breathing well at all, you know the doohickey the respiratory therapist tortures you with? She can barely move the little thingamabob. My aunt, a retired respiratory therapist was giving me worried face behind mom’s back. My #3 daughter and I got home 20 minutes ago and I am wiped out, but we will be back at the hospital at 9:00. So please, continued prayer and the like for me mam, and also, please keep being funny, I need the grins.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 46 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 60 for the day. Looks like we have a Winter warm up on the way with highs gettin’ into the 70s by the weekend. Weird.

{{{Apes}}} feel better!

{{{wiki}}} continued prayers and good thoughts for your mom, you and the whole family.

I am gay and gray.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!
