I think the only real thing that would cause him to drop out of the race is his health. But he’d couch it under the guise of voter fraud and yet another witch-hunt, this one by all the Republicans who don’t support him being RINOs who are afraid of him and his base.
You are correct this will accomplish next to nothing. None of these “Senior Republicans” are actually current party leadership in Congress or in positions of power at the RNC. In fact, several are possible primary opponents of Trump. Their comments and outrage mean next to nothing at this point.

The kids, and Kushner, have always been about the money. I wonder how they handicap which side of their bread is best buttered now?
Kushner at least has a whole other corrupt and wealthy family to leech onto, and Ivanka will sidle off to support them if needed.
Tiffany and Barron are well out of it, and will stay with their respective mothers out of the limelight as much as possible.
Don Jr and Eric, however, are stuck with Daddy for better or worse. If Donald goes down, they’ve got nowhere else to go. As such, they will campaign their little powdercaked noses off for him.
