The Dropping Out Thread

Carson is so woefully out of touch I am surprised anyone took his candidacy seriously.

I know he was (is?) a FOX media darling, but the guy is an absolute dunderhead.

Is Gilmore still running? All of the news reports say Carly is the only candidate still running who didn’t qualify for the top tier debate, but surely Gilmore doesn’t qualify either?

I saw a Carson for President bumper sticker today. And for some ungodly reason, he’s my sister’s candidate.

Has she had brain surgery?

I think it’s safe to say that ALL of his supporters have had—or need—brain surgery.

It’s practically his hashtag!

Nobody other than Gilmore has ever taken his “campaign” the least bit seriously. On the other hand, Fiorina looked for a while like she just might possibly be a viable candidate. Remember, she polled higher than most of the establishment candidates at one point.

Oh, yeah? Well, tell it to the elected officials who’ve endorsed him! Why, there’s state senator Sam Cataldo, and – huh; that seems to be it, actually. Wait; have I mentioned Sam Cataldo yet? I have? Okay, just the one guy taking it seriously, then.

How dare you!? Gilmore got ***twelve ***votes in Iowa!

"Oh, there’s nothing halfway
"About the Iowa way to treat you
"When we greet you
“Which we may not do at all . . .”

Reports are that Christie may or may not be dropping out soon.

If he does, I expect him to endorse Trump.

I think he’ll endorse Kasich. He’s out (if he is out) so there’s no more reason to fear Trump.

And 125 voters in NH! His ten-fold leap from Iowa to NH is one of the most impressive in US political history!

Regardless of the sourcing of this rumor, I have 100% confidence in its truth.

I think he’s got to. He banked everything on NH and without doing well there, there just isn’t going to be the money, people or time to move forward. Even had he come in much higher he was basically SOL.

Yea, SC and NV are much worse states for him then NH was, so there’s really no hope for him getting anything but a string of 5th place or lower showings for the rest of February.

On the plus side, he managed to loose a bunch of weight in preparation for his run, and will get a footnote in the history books for the most effective debate take-down of another candidate in US Presidential politics. So he at least has more to show for it then the other “also-rans”.

He also won’t qualify for the upcoming debate, so it’s either get out now or be forced into irrelevance.

Good thing you have “or lower” because enough people may not drop out for him to place 5th consistently.

Who’s next?

I think it has to be Carson, doesn’t it? His organization is in complete disarray. There really isn’t a reason for him to continue on other than having nothing else to do.

Carson is in it for the book sales and speaking engagements. He will prove hang around at least until most of the southern states have voted
