Folks, we gather here together today to give forth praises to two of the boards unsung heroes. Two of the sweetest guys I’ve ever known, and if you don’t know them, too, you should. VileOrb and I have been beating our heads against the wall for three days, just trying to come up with a way to thank them, but hookers are still illegal in Illinois, so this is the best we’ve come up with. So far, anyway.
On Thursday, JoeyHemlock drove all the way into the city from some gawdawful suburb just to take me to a movie. He knows I’m not leaving the house much these days, save to look for a job, so he came in to cheer me up. We went to a movie, had drinks, with VileOrb joining us, had more drinks, had too many drinks, we snuggled, cried (or I did, anyway), laughed and snuggled more. He even bought me some of my favourite cider so that I would have something to drink when the ChiDopers came in on the weekend. He came BACK in on Saturday, partied with us, gave smooches and hugs and kept everyone in stitches. He walked NymDawg. He WROTE ME A SONG! JoeyBear is the bestest.
DynoSaur, on the other hand, didn’t get a head start. So, rather than try to usurp Joey’s standing, he went right to the heart of the matter. He. Brought. Me. Groceries. Yes, he walked into my place on Saturday with big bags of groceries. Full of hugs and standard Dyno good cheer, he was like Sandy Claws, only cuter. He is the only person I know that can both A) use my keyboard and B) use my keyboard while utterly drunk on Jager. He can drink a bottle of that stuff and still type. I have the logs to prove it. Apparently he gives good snuggles, too, but I’ve just had hugs. Damn my luck. He even stayed the night at my place, for once, rather than driving back to Spiffled at 400a. If Joey is the bestest, Dyno is the bestestest.
To top it off, these two beautiful men stuck around all day Sunday to help me, VileOrb and boli move all of VO’s stuff into my place. And let me tell you, friends and neighbors, that was NOT a fun job. There was piles and piles and piles and PILES of stuff to move. It took…three (?) trips in a U-Haul van, half an hour both ways. They were tired, they were hungover, they were hungry and they stuck with it until the bitter end, which was something like 900p. We have no words to express our gratitude.
So, here’s to you, guys. I love you both, and I’m sure Vile will offer some manly handshake of sorts. Just wanted you to know how much we care and that good deeds are noticed.
We, who are about to post, salute you.
