The Eagles are gonna kick the Redskins' collective ass

I’m just letting it hang out there. The 'Skins suck.

I don’t know how anyone in their right mind could root for the only NFL team without a state.

…unless proposing a wager.

We all know what a loser Redskin fan she is.

Aren’t the Eagles going to be Duce-less this weekend?

The Redskins blow.

Name the price. I’ll bet whatever you want.

You ain’t got Staley. It’ll be a good game, but the 'Skins are gonna pull it out in the end.

walks off, humming “Hail to the Redskins”

Even without Duce, we have Brian Mitchell. And he’s pissed. You saw what he did to the Falcons (hmmm…) last week, and he wasn’t even pissed then.

GO EAGLES!!!

The Eagles suck! They have no offense! They choke in the clutch! They blew it ten years ago when Buddy Ryan was coach; the most talented team in the league, and they could barely make it past the the first round of the playoffs! Oh, they talk all about the “Body Bag” game, but they neglect to mention that later that season the 'Skins came back to the Vet and ate their lunch in the playoffs! GRRRRRRRR…

Ah, I feel better. As you can see, I am a long-suffering (LOOOONG-suffering) Eagles fan. I’ve loved them ever since my Dad was stationed in New Jersey when I was a kid in 1980-81. That was the year they went to the Super Bowl… and… lost… embarrassingly. sigh I’m a fan, but dammit, they tick me off sometimes. Besides, any true Eagles fan rips his own team more than he rips their opponents. And rude? I’m sure you’ve heard the story that they once hired a little boy to sing the national anthem before a home game. The kid forgot the words, and the fans at the Vet booed him. Loudly. Oh yeah, and they once threw slushballs at Santa Claus.

Gotta love 'em. Eagles, 35-17.

Let’s face it. The Eagles were a decent country-rock group in the mid-70s, but Henley and Frye are way past their prime. They’re just another middle-age band trying to cash in on yet another reunion tour.

Trivia time: Anyone remember who the Redskins emergency QB was in the Body Bag game?

Yep. Brian Mitchell.

Yes, yes, they have Mitchell. (And I would actually be happy if he rips one…I think Snyder was an IDIOT for letting him go, especially since Deion is doing such a GREAT job on those punt returns. But I digress.)

However. Redskins special team coverage, while not perfect, has improved a LOT. I think they can cover Mitchell on those, and the defense has improved a LOT. McNabb’s gonna have to throw a lot more than normal with Staley gone…I don’t see him having a good day.

Final: Redskins, 30-18.

(And Chief…still waiting to hear what you wanna bet…)

Loser’s gotta suck up to the winner on the board for an entire week.

Eagles win and I post that Arbitron produces a culturally biased product, their newer programs suck and that alltheir employees suck at getting changed.

You have to agree vociferously!

Likewise, if the 'Skins win and you post that Army is better than Navy, I have to agree and add that Airforce is probably better too.

Also no snotty asides except from the loser to the winner.

How 'bout some crow Falcon?

27-18. Eagles.

The fifth paragraph of the above post should read:

Also, no snotty aside except from the winner to the loser.

Hmmmmm…first off, you didn’t seem to mind ONE Arbitron employee getting changed.

But aside from that…I accept. Although how on EARTH you’ll avoid making smartass comments for a week is beyond me…

Back atcha, Birdie!

laughs You’re on. And I’m working on finding somewhere where you, Montfort, and I could watch the game. That way, you can start agreeing with me nice and early!

Da Iggles.

Eagles 24
Skins 13

'Nuff said.

:):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Redskins over Eagles!!!

A firefly with a death wish.

Not something you see every day…

From my weekly predictions:

Yep, ChiefScott, I wholeheartedly agree. I would also like to add that while Duce Staley is a good running back, his loss isn’t that big of a deal. He’s certainly replaceable. He’s averaging less than 70 yards on the ground per game (344 yds. in 5 games), and if you remove the 201 yard anomaly of Week 1 he’s averaging only 36! IMHO, it’s the Philly Defense and Special Teams that will win this game.
