No, no you wouldn’t. Trust me.
Better to wait until Peanut is weaned.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis a very nice 55 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 84. Nice leave the windows open weather. YAY!!! We even have a promise of rain perhaps today, tomorrow and/or Tuesday. We shall see.
Spidey would you believe a tshirt, shorts and white tennis socks. Not sure who that would turn on. Well, outside of me…
Ethi I kinda agree with Tao. If the boots appealed enough, suitors would buy the rest of the outfit just to see you in it.
Waitaminnit… Hockey Lady caused doggio the sleaze king to blush? Impressive!
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. I also need to bake the cabbage casserole and purtify for deheathenization. Ok, plus eventually awaken the slumberin’ “Nacho Man.”
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Blurf.
Is gettin’ cooold here- one of my friends, living a few miles away has proper snow this morning! In the first week of November, in the south of England? Madness, I tell ye!
In other news, it’s the annual pyromania festival, yay! For one weekend of the year, blowing things up is a socially acceptable thing to do It even looks like it might be relatively dry this evening and tomorrow, so I’m hopefully going to get an excuse to set all kinds of stuff of fire.
Ps, waaay ahead of you Moooom, I put my clocks back last week, 'cos that’s how we roll over here
Good morning!
Blurfity blurf!
Holy cow - it’s a freekin’ 34°F this morning! That’s 2 weensy degrees above freezing!!! We appear to have leapt from summer to winter with barely an autumn day in between! And we won’t see 60s again till maybe next weekend. dang.
At least we’re getting our pellet stove on Tuesday so we won’t be burning all our oil to stay warm.
**FCD **is showering, then we’re off t breakfast. I may force him to go to the grocery store with me afterwards since we’re out of a lot of stuff - down to 2 carrots, fercryinoutloud!!! Then I’m going to try to glaze at least half (6) of the pieces still waiting to be done. I don’t know if I can manage all 12 - we shall see. I wanted to get outside and run the sucker/mulcher on the bed of leaves - maybe I’ll take an hour out to do that…
Clocks are all reset, I think. Except my watch. And the cars. And the basement clock… OK, half of the clocks are reset. Someone explain to me why we still do this??
Anyway, Happy Sunday!
Good morning, Mumpers!
Now, there’s a quiz I’m going to fail, flytrap.
We’re at 33 degrees this morning, but it’s supposed to be almost 50 today.
Watching Firefly and knitting and having breakfast. Need to get moving on laundry and other chores. Am thinking of painting both entry doors today because they should be warm enough. Probably won’t do anything else outside until the weekend thought.
Happy Sunday, everyone!
Hugs.
GT
I’m afraid we have one of those kitchen-singing weirdos in our house too. It’s me.
Life is too short, so why waste precious thyme…
I’m sorry to disappoint you, but this is the weekend.
I just needed a break for a minute because I’m working on a literature review of a book about rocks. This is a non-fiction book that is essentially a guide to identification and I’m supposed to write about it’s* literary artistry*. :dubious:
In other news, I’d kind of like everyone’s opinion about something. As of Wednesday it will be 6 weeks since I turned in all of my homework from the summer class. I still don’t have a grade yet. Since this is my first incomplete ever and given that the professor has been very difficult to work with all along, I don’t know what to do. I mean, I feel a little weird instructing a professor on how he should behave but should I? Should I talk to the associate dean again and have her do the dirty work? Should I wait a couple weeks? I can’t wait too long, there’s only like 5 weeks left and once the semester is over my grade will become an F if he hasn’t done anything. So, that’s why I’m looking for advice. Thanks.
44 here. The dogs woke me at 0600 to warn me of the leaves rushing the apartment. today is football and cleaning storage.
Sticks, sic the Dean on the professor.
“Thyyyyyymmmeee is on my side…”
FCM, all my clocks except the one in Deathmobile set themselves. I’m techy like that.
swampy, yep. We sleazed each other red.
Good morning all!
Nothing interesting today it seems.
My trip to Va Beach is next week, as far as I know. I haven’t heard anything about it being cancelled for damage to the houses.
I need to buy some new clothes I guess, since I’m going to be on video. Some kind of internal training or something, I don’t know.
They told us to wear what we normally wear and they will have hair and makeup people for us. I’m sure they don’t want to see me in my old faded sweats though. Maybe I can make do with what I have, I’ll have to dig out the nice stuff I guess.
I’m excited to go, but nervous too. I’ve never met a single person I work with, I applied online, and interviewed over the phone.
At least I can drive, if I had to fly I would have declined.
Howdy all!
First check what the I policy is. Prof may have a certain number of weeks, or a particular deadline to get grades in and before that deadline the prof is ok not having submitted it.
Then, make sure you have confirmation of some sort that he received the homework. If not, send an email saying that you’re just confirming that he received hw by xx date.
Next, check with Registrar. Say you completed your incomplete and was wondering when to expect the grade to appear. Registrars will often do the dirty work of harassment. Document, via email, your request.
End Nov/start of Dec, go to Dean if no resolution.
Thanks, Soapy!
I do have confirmation that he received the homework. I can check on all the other things tomorrow. That’s very sneaky to email the registrar. I’d never have thought of that. Thanks!
Registrars are like accountants: they hate to have their books not balanced! An unresolved I is like a never cashed check- annoying!
See, now that’s why we have a professor in the MMP - to answer these questions.
Hey, Professor - have you gotten power back yet?
My power was on Tuesday morning by 6 am. I lost it for only about 14 hours!
We were very lucky!
Oh no, no. I wasn’t thinking of clothing at all. Just…boots. 0-O:) (Well, that was supposed to be an angel face, fah!)
Clearly, coffee is indicated. I shall go ingest some!
Well, after I brew it. Straight coffee grounds = blurf.
Back from 2 treks to Leonardtown. We had breakfast, then **FCD **dropped me at Food Lion while he ran to the hardware store, after which he sat outside of McKay’s waiting for me while I was standing outside Food Lion waiting for him. But eventually he figured it out.
Unfortunately, I left a $13 pork loin at Food Lion. Fortunately, the checker caught it and they put it in a cool place. After I finished unloading the groceries and the dishwasher, I realized that something was missing. I even dug out my receipt to make sure I’d bought it, since I was wavering in the meat dept. Anyway, quick phone call followed by a 7 mile drive, and I had my sack o’pork. It’s big enough that I need to slice it into 3 roasts, or maybe a couple of roasts and some “chops” - to be determined. And while I was still down there, I ran into McKay’s to get some Italian pole beans because FL didn’t have any. So groceries are bought and put away, fridge is purged of old leftovers, and dishwasher is reloaded with the containers that held the old leftovers. Whew!!
Off to the studio I go…
It shouldn’t be too terrible. I’m trying to think of a place or two you should go visit to eat or what-not, but the recent pics from friends in Norfolk show most of the waterfront being underwaterfront, I hestitate. :smack:
