The Early Worm Gets the Bird -- an East of Greenwich MMP

Poor sah-kid, back to school tomorrow. He goes in 2 hours late.
He’s been bugging me all evening to find out.

Howdy Y’all, Always lurking just never posting. So hello. I am a little worried about Rosie too. I’m guessing the power is the issue. Check in Rosie.

We have had winds for two weeks from Sandy but it just made for a nice change here in the Keys. It is almost fall like.

Cookies…Wish I had some.

Gotti, try Tar-jay, they had the special [del]sawdust squares[/del] Pop-tarts.

Since I brought wood near the door, had a fahr in the fahrplace. No cookies, but I made peppermint milkshakes; they were nummy.

Local news showed (South) Jersey shore, national news showed New Yawk. Couldn’t find any pix of the Joisey turnpike with the railroad cars in it. We have warehouses in both Moonachie & Carlstadt; hope everything is okay & undamaged in them.

stress!

Where in the Keys? I’ll bring cookies.

[Oddball]VBob, always with the negative waves.[/Oddball]

Chatting with Hockey Lady:).

These allergies or whatever they are need to suffer some serious burniation and just die. I am tired of having to clear my throat all the time and feeling like I have a little pocket of phlegm in my chest constantly. Plus the coughing/sneezing fits are getting old.

The ham-laden split pea soup was delicious and the sugar free Oreos are surprisingly good with only a slight aftertaste. Otherwise, they’re all but identical to the regular ones, except for price.

When I was a kid I always thought hurricanes were the best. The rain and the wind were all so dramatic and exciting. And I LOVED it when the power went off. I was a weird kid.

I may try roast garlic and potato soup for dinner. It has bacon in it. What could go wrong?

About time to give up on irk for another day and go on home. Tomorrow, I get to move again. Not sure where, this time.

Holy crap, I had to look that up; thought it was a real place!
I mean, obviously it is, but I had no idea… :p:p:p
Ignorance fought!!

BOO!!!
HAH! Scared y’all didn’t I!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 42 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 71. Should be a nice evenin’ for all the little [del]candy beggars[/del] Trick or Treaters. There will be none of that at da cave. No candy to give out plus I never have [del]candy beggars[/del] Trick or Treaters, so I gave that up years ago. I did, however, donate bags of good candy for Trunk or Treat over to the church house. Plus also, it’s a good day to go buy some cheap chawklit.

I’m sure we haven’t heard from Rosie or Soapy due to power outages. They both live on Lawn Guylandt. Hope they can check in soon!

Howdy Butters! LTNS!

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. Sigh.

Happy Hump Day and Happy Hallowe’en Y’all!

Yeah, where is Boo anyway? Has Sandy caused power outages out in the English Midlands as well…?

Good morning! I almost saw the moon thru the clouds, so things are starting to clear up here. Rumor has it we might even see the big ball of fire in sky!!

No idea what the day holds. **FCD **is trying to foist his Yuma trip on me - some silliness about vibration testing for a UAV. I told him I’m a draftsman and all I could do was draw some vibrations: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I don’t think that’s what he meant. I know he doesn’t want to go to Yuma, but neither do I. :stuck_out_tongue:

Got a guy coming over maybe tonight to look at our fireplace insert - it’d be great if we could sell that thing. Other than that, just another freekin’ day in paradise, except that we’ll be dousing all the lights and closing the blinds this evening. No candy at our house - you’d think the lack of outside lights would be a clue…

Happy Halloween - bah humbug! :stuck_out_tongue:

So, are you dressing up as Maya the Beear, or as Winnie the Pooh?

Just so he doesn’t go bare…

I’m dressing up as a functional member of society. I don’t expect Trick or Treaters, and 190lbs of assorted canine mayhem will scare them off if they do come. Up, caffeinated, off to irk

FCM, thank you for that image for Halloween.:wink:

**doggio **- it’s all about the scary, isn’t it!

I’m dressing as a stranded business traveler.

Blurf.

I almost hit a deer 500 feet from the end of my driveway. Now I’m homesick for Nawth Carliner. :stuck_out_tongue:

**BBBobbio **- we were just discussing deer this morning. We have yet to see one on our commute. I’ve seen a few carcasses on the side of the road in more remote areas and I did see a couple of live ones as I was coming home from Annapolis the other night - some areas of 301 are less populated, you know. We’ve got (or had) a small herd/family of 5 deer that used to hang in the neighborhood, but the kids may have grown up and moved on…

190lbs? We’ve only got 63lbs of dogs here. You all got me thinking, though. No one in the neighborhood has mentioned trick or treating, but I’ll be studying in the front room tonight (if the Halloween party that I was supposed to be going to is cancelled and I think it is). So, I might buy a bag of something to pass out because I’ll be right in front of a bay window with no curtains.

Today continues the new routine with grandparents and dogs, it’s hard to teach both of them new tricks. :stuck_out_tongue: (Bad joke, I know.) But it’s true. This is really confusing for everyone. Hopefully they’ll get used to it sooner rather than later.
