The Edge at home against the Jags, or Faulk at Miami?

I’ve got a bit of a Fantasy conundrum this weekend. Do I start Edgerrin James at home against Jacksonville, or Marshall Faulk in Miami?

The Dolphins have coughed up 100+ rushing yardage all season, but Martz is crazy and there’s no telling whether or not he’ll give Faulk the ball. The Edge has been stuffed by the Jags the last five times he’s played against them, and they’re pretty good against the run this season.

A more minor decision is Joe Horn in Oakland or David Patten at home against the Jets. I’m leaning towards Patten there, only b/c Woodson will be all over Horn.

Edge and Horn.

Who’s your other starting RB?

I’d go with Horn at WR. But beware, I was positive Steve McNair would have a better day than David Carr last week!

Heh. McNair is my QB. My other RB is Ruben Droughns, so no worries there.

Then I’d go with Edge as well. Martz is a freak, and I think he’s going to feature Jackson a little bit more this week due to the soft match-up. Additionally, Miami’s run defense is actually pretty good (not that Jax’s is a slouch).

The Edge it is. Yahoo Insider has this to say, but I don’t believe them:

Here’s what they say about Faulk:

I think I’m sticking with Patten, though. Woodson scares me.

I think that’s a mistake. Brady spreads the ball around far too much, and this is going to be a ground game. I’ll go out on a limb and say the leading Pats receiver will be Daniel Graham (TE). Woodson’s good, but Horn is fantastic. (Who’s your WR1?)

Alright. I will start Horn as an article of faith. If Patten out-performs him this thread will be resurrected.

Other WRs are Marcus Robinson and Amani Toomer.

Wait, you were thinking about starting Toomer over Joe Horn?!? Toomer, who hasn’t caught a TD? Remember, Detroit’s actually pretty good this year. I’d put Patten in before Toomer this week. I think Dre Bly is more of a threat than Woodson is.

Edge and Horn. No question.

Trust me - I have Marshall Faulk on my fantasy team, and he hasn’t played once yet this year for me. And I haven’t missed him one bit - I’m 6-0 and loving it.

Of course, the rest of my team isnt too shabby either, this week I’m starting:

Peyton Manning, Terrell Owens, Tiki Barber, Torry Holt, Duce Staley, Donald Driver, Boo Williams, and Seahawks D.

Yes, I am a draft god. Mwahahahahaha!

Hey, Peyton may be good, but he’s no Daunte Culpepper. My Homestar’s Heroes are living high off Minnesota’s QB fat this year.

Gah. I wish I had your problem. My “stud” RBs are Jamal Lewis and Quentin Griffin.
