The end-of-summer MMP

All quiet here as well, with DH in another state for a few days.

My current project is to find a pocket sized camera to borrow for Thursday.

I’m considering taking a nap at work. How YOU doin’?

Kitty pics are lost in the mists, apparently. I shall have to try again.

In the meantime, I’m sick. Headache, chills, fever, achy muscles and joints, malaise, and GI tract problems.

What did I do to deserve this? I now have tender parts that don’t deserve to be tender. I have to wash my sheets, which I’d done before the move. I had to take the day off work, and I didn’t want to!

In the meantime, the kittens are launching military campaigns all around and sometimes on me. They’ve made it clear they expect some sort of entertainment, and I’m all out of energy for that.

Being sick sucks.

You’re a defense contractor, too?

My my the Mumpers are funny today

JIM

{{{roo}}} feel better soon! Good luck with kitty entertainment. I have no idea what kitty entertainment involves.

It’s rainyish out. I say rainyish cause it’s sorta kinda but not really rainin’. Just this incessant little drizzle that’s been goin’ on since late mornin’. Of course my postin’ this means we shall have a deluge at go home time. I should not jinx myself thusly but I do.

Nah, my official title is admin assistant, but it’s basically ‘do whatever they ask you’

The truck is fixed. It was a broken wire. It cost something over $200 to figure that out and fix it. Stoopit wire. At least it wasn’t a huge problem.

Stoopit truck.

It’s almost quit o’clock, so I can take the time to tremble in fear of something else going on my Permanent Record.

   :tremble: X 10[sup]-3[/sup] seconds

Glad that’s over with. Mischief managed.

Stoopit mice - 4 wires were chewed up on the truck. They’ve been soldered and duct taped together - or something appropriate to automotive applications - and it runs just fine. Stoopit $213 mice…

Got a call from MIL while we were retrieving the truck - they’re almost home. Either their middle son or their DIL picked them up in Orlando, and they got their car and headed to Ocala. So yay for that.

**FCD **is in the basement playing with the new lathe he bought - boys and their toys… Supper is grazing for leftovers. Tomorrow, I mow the yard, assuming it doesn’t rain overnight, Thursday, Taz goes to the vet for his constant scratching, and Firday, I go to the doc. Somewhere in there, I need to get a haircut. Glad work doesn’t start tomorrow - too much to get done first!

Hello all - and welcome back, FCM! Thanks for the cruise stories. I know you’re glad that the in-laws are back at -their- home, though. I do wonder how that passenger got off the ship!

Roo, sorry you’re sick and hurry with the kittie pics! LOL Sorry…!!

Yesterday was my son’s 25th birthday. He spent this past weekend in Las Vegas, NEVADA (he lives in LV, NM, btw :)) … I got a phone call from him on Sunday morning, he needed money to get back home. :dubious: I was not happy, but I wasn’t going to leave him stranded there, so I bought his bus ticket home. :smack: He’s going to be SOL if he does it again, I do know that much. Happy 25th birthday I said after giving him the info on his ticket. :frowning: Other than that, he’s a very good son. Really.

So today I had a doctor’s appointment - my blood pressure is still too high, so I got on increase in one of my meds, a water one, I can’t think of the name brand nor can I remember what the generic is. LOL Don’t worry, it went right to my pharmacy, where we’ll pick it up tomorrow. Doing okay other than that, and I had to have blood work drawn as well, so yay that I did fast overnight. Cross appropriate appendages that my blood work turns out okay, please.

Hope everyone is enjoying the week so far. Happy Tuesday!

Is it naptime yet?

Hell yeah.

Howdy Y’all! Home from irk (actually been home for a while) and dindin has been had. OYKW was here long enough to eat but had to get back to his place to do paperirk poor thing. I promised poke chops and gravy, rice, peas and bizkits for tomorrow. Ok, I already had the poke chops thawed but no harm in lettin’ him think it’s his idea right?

Herbs appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the bloodwork.

MOOOOOOM put cheese around the truck. That’ll keep the mice away.

Always glad to be of help.

Yesterday was perfect, even though Mrs. Plant v.3.0 worked until 13:00.
(That’s one Post Meridian, Swampy.)
We went to Petco for their one dollar a gallon aquarium sale, watched a Warehouse 13 episode. Shrimp cocktail with great big shrimp and a salad for dinner.
Mrs. Plant wants to try sahorses.
My back hurts. On the auspicious date of 11 September, I’m going to have a Great Big Needle stuck in my back at the hospital and steroids injected.
Cool!

Irked, came home, had leftover nuclear chili. I don’t worry about my Permanent Record, because that only contains the stuff they caught you doing. I plead the 5th(of tequila).

Good luck with the stabbing, Flytrap.

Feel better, Roo. Could be worse. Last time I was sick, the late Maggie Wonderbeagle ate my shoes in front of me.

Good luck, Herbs!

I lurves ya; just not to death.
There is someone (or two) that I’d like to love to death, just don’t want it showing up on my “Permanent Record”…

Doggio, if being caught is the criteria; I’ve led a boooring life. OTOH, the $#%& I got away with…

Temporary Bachelor Chow has been et, small camera has been borrowed, and now just to hope the weather cooperates on Thursday, or two hours driving in the rain will be for naught.

I came to work to yet more computer woes, or more appropriately data mining systems woes. Christ, I’m gonna need an ark because it’s been raining (figuratively) on me so much we are now at flood stage.

I stayed an hour and a half late at work today, but didn’t get nearly as much done as I needed or wanted because of that stupid data mining system.

Tomorrow is another day, right? Let’s hope and pray things go right for me tomorrow because I’m tired of all this sideways crap.

**Herbs, **thinking good thoughts for your lab results.

Good luck with the back thingy,** Carnivourousplant.** That sounds not at all fun. I hope it eases your pain.

In yet more bad news today, my son’s private student loan still has not been certified by the school. He has been at school two weeks now. The told him in July it would be five to seven business days, It’s been nothing but a huge frackin’ nightmare and I am seeing red. I feel a little like Yosemite Sam when he blows his stack and you see steam coming out of his ears.

If there isn’t good news tomorrow, heads are gonna roll…

Where are you going on Thursday, gotti? Sorry if I missed it.

Thanks for the cruise stories, Moommmmmm. The clothesless lady made me giggle.

Sorry your son had a less than optimal birthday, tarra. Hope the blood tests have good results.

Wow, Taters, that’s a bit longer than a week.

Long day today. Came home and fell asleep for a while.

Captain, did you read about your hurricane namesake? Not likely to live long and prosper. (That actually made it into the official forecast. Made me smile.)

Am contemplating sleep again…

Having issues with bolding and too tired to hand-code…Sorry.

Hugs all.
