The end-of-summer MMP

That would include cell phones. However will you call Swampy for assistance?

Not a problem - my cell phone doesn’t take pictures and rarely leaves my car.

Wow! That’s a well trained cellphone you got there MOOOOOOM! My cellphone takes pictures and has text and web capabilities but I don’t bother with any of it.

Dindin was an early one of grilled ham ‘n cheese sammich and chips. I’m all on my own cause OYKW has to go to a meetin’ thingy tonight poor baby. Just as well as my sinuses are all achy which makes me no fun to be around.

It’s after 5 and my spousal unit isn’t home, nor have I heard from him in hours. I’m hungry and I’m not sure whether to be angry or worried.

It’s so hard being me…

:stuck_out_tongue:

The state computer guy I was letting into the server by remote hadn’t a pleasant sneeze to be around. Thank G-d I had him on the speaker phone!

Sneezey, sniffly, itchy nose all describe me. Plus achy sinus passages. ICK! Dang ragweed.

I had a haircut after work.
had to shower in order to become de-itchyfied.

Oh my G-d, I’m talking like you people!

Ugh. I’m not feeling at all well today. I think I need to go to the urgent care, but my health insurance stuff is in the bin of doom. I think. If I can just last another hour…

Actually, I’m starting to feel better. I’ll still find my health insurance stuff tonight, but I may be able to avoid seeing the doctor. We’ll see how I feel later.

More like we both remembered wrong

Anyways. Friday morning, Spring is in the air - which, for Canberra, means cold and rain for the early weeks. Soon it’ll be mild, sunny days and lots of flowers and green grass (before summer arrives and everything turns brown and gets ready to catch on fire at the slightest spark).

Got one of our cats back from the vet yesterday. She had an infected bite on her side which they had to open up & clean out. I initialy though she had been shot with a BB gun. She has a 3 inch long incision on her right side and is wearing a collar to stop her from licking it. Not a happy cat at all. A source of amusement though - cats drugged up on pain-killers can be pretty funny.

Kids are going to MIL’s house for the evening so Mrs Pope & I can go out for dinner and a movie, or just collapse from exhaustion and sleep. Whichever comes first.

Poor **FCD **got stuck in a meeting till after 6 - long day for him. He told me my computer has arrived, but he’s not sure when it’ll be hooked up. Still, I’ll go in on Monday. And we dropped off his car for an oil change, then ran to Bert’s for supper.

I have assumed the bathrobe mode and I’ll be in knit position shortly. One day of first retirement remaining…

The man puts together a* lathe* and doesn’t change his own oil?
Tsk, tsk.

Next week’s post: torn between “The Death of Carnivorousplant” and “The Wrath of FairyChat”.

Baptist Horsepital called me about Sticking-A -Needle-Into-Your-Back-Oh-What-Fun! and wanted Mrs. Plant’s name, phone, work, PIN, First Born Child, etc.
And another “Person to Call”.
They seemed very interested in being able to tell someone that I had shuffled off the mortal coil, come and take him away.
Makes one wonder what their track record is like.

Heh, flytrap, you’re making me giggle more than usual today.

Thank you.

Am tired and contemplating getting some work done. Will be working on yet another huge document for the next week or so. Woo. Hoo.

Sorry you’re missing out seeing the President live, gotti. That would have been really cool.

Off to get some work done…

Hugs all.

GT

You are very welcome, but you can’t have my DVDs.

Irked, did laundry, had dinner.

If the sign out front mentions the last fatality was 35 minutes ago, RUN!:wink:

Welcome to the hive mindish thingy.

Roo, Maggie Wonderbeagle got into a cappuccino once. i feel your pain.

yeah! he already promised them to me! :stuck_out_tongue:

Moooommmm, maybe the meows don’t like the crate style of carrier as they feel too enclosed; look into a more open one, like the Tabby Tote

It goes along with our philosophy of “sometimes the best tool for the job is a checkbook.” :stuck_out_tongue: Once upon a time, before I met him, **FCD **lived in Detroit, worked in an auto parts store, raced MG Midgets, and did all his own car work. After we got married, he realized that there are people who will do the grubby jobs that we don’t want to do, and all we have to do is give them money. Yay! So while he knows how to shingle a roof, when ours needed to be replaced, we paid other people to do it. Same with oil changes. Heck, same with me and pie crusts - I know how to make them - I have made them - but I don’t make them any more. Frozen works just fine, TYVM.

**Spidey **- I’ve seen that before - it’s just sick enough to crack me up!!

Yes, it’s ridiculously early and I’m up. For some reason, **FCD **was in the shower before 4 and it perplexed me enough to make further sleep unlikely. That should make my BP interesting when I go to my Dr appt this morning. Or not…

It is nice and cool out - mid-60s - so I’ve opened windows to let the cool in. It won’t last, but I’ll enjoy it while it does. Anything to give the a/c a break!

Other plans for today include getting towels and sheets washed and out on the lines to dry. I may run the vacuum also since I’m seeing bits and pieces of assorted stuff on the carpet. Not sure if I’m motivated enough to dust - we shall see.

Happy Firday. I may go back to bed yet. :o <---- big yawn

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 91 and a chance of rain. I still say the weather PTB make up a forecast the first of the week and just keep usin’ it all week.

Ok, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. Sinuses are still buggin’ me but on I slog. Hopin’ for a relatively peaceful day.

Happy Firday Y’all!
