The final Skald the Rhymer thread...until the next one [updates].

No hoax was intended. Emotional overreaction. Between the one-two punch of the heart problems and the retinopathy happening in such close succession I was feeling pretty hopeless when I began this thread.

I think you were being wooshed, Skald. If not, :dubious:

It was a whoosh. We’re all so giddy that you’re ok and still with us that we’re being a tad foolish. I hope you continue to do well.

Seriously? Deceit is hard coded into Elvish DNA.

So, when did you go?

Pre-surgery workup tomorrow. Assuming everything is all right surgery is isupposed to be on the 17th.

Best of luck with the upcoming medical stuff…

Damn, now I have something in my eye…

PS… this shit would look much better if graped by the Grapist and thrown into a quary

Best of luck for a successful procedure and speedy recovery.

Welcome back my friend to the show that never ends
We’re so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside
There behind a glass stands a real blade of grass
Be careful as you pass, move along, move along…

Fingers firmly crossed for you.

Had the preliminary testing Monday. They want my blood pressure to go down a bit mor before the surgery, whch I assume has something to do with anesthesia fears, not that I really know. So there’ll be a delay on the surgery.

On another issue: When I posted to the board using IE or Firefiox, I had things set up so that posting was WYSIIG. I never bothered doing that when I migrated to Chrome. I’d like to resume that now but cannot recall exactly how I did it, and this constant one-eyed squinting makes finding the instructions again hard. Can anybody refresh my memory?

Bummer about the delay. Best of luck getting the BP down; it’s a shitty positive feedback loop when you get anxious about it.

As for WYSIWYG, it doesn’t work in Chrome, unless there’s some plug-in I’m not familiar with. Past threads didn’t include any solution for Chrome that I could find.

Wishing you all the best, as ever, O Skald my friend!

Best wishes and love, Skald, to you and your family!
