I’ve also been wondering about the** FCM** family and their boat. I hope everything is okay.
Stomach woes forced me to stay home from work today. I thought about forcing myself to go in, but one too many trips to kneel in front of the toilet put the kibosh on that.
I’m still feeling icky, but at least I haven’t had to make a trip to the bathroom in the last 30 minutes.
I could go in still, I suppose, but by the time I shower, drive out there and find parking, the workday would be more than half over anyway. I’ll just use the sick leave and go in feeling 100% tomorrow.

I haven’t heard anything from the FairyChats, but I’m at irk. She’s in a part of the county more prone to tree damage, and there’s been reports of new phone and power outages as the clean up crews hit the lines clearing trees.
Or, they could be out on the Chesapeake Bay because the day is gorgeous and the winds not contributing to chop on the water. If I had a choice, that’s where I’d be…

Irene update - missed me altogether but some of the kinfolk in the Endless Mountains and Poconos got slightly nailed. Everyone seems to have weathered it fine.

Hey… Anyone remember me?
I don’t remember how long it’s been since I posted in the MMP, so to summarize; a nasty divorce, a wonderful surprise, a huge relocation (including 8 dogs and 2 cats!), overwhelming readjustment to civilization, an impulsive jump back into gardening in the real world, a new guy in my life, and it’s all finally seeming to fall into place. Which generally means watch out, the rug is about to be yanked out from under my feet again. :eek:
So I am back where I started, in a little podunk town up the I5 corridor from Taters. My Mom and step-dad live a mile and a half up the hill from me, and my Dad and step-mother are just a ways north from me. This is a Good Thing.
So, without further ado: nice OP time dog, doggio lucidity is overrated, happiness is the goal, feel better thoughts to rosie and Taters, cool thoughts to rebo and general Happy Monday to all in general!
Now it is the fourth birthday of August, and I have yet another cake to make and gifts to wrap. Too many friken birthdays for one month! Le sigh… off to make a chocolate cake with raspberry filling and chocolate ganache. At least it’s cool enough so the cake won’t melt!

Sketties with meat sauce, sallit and garlic bread for dindin. Love bein’ able to pull sauce out of the freezer, defrost and nuke.
