The fuckers gassed a dog...

Oh I love a good conspiracy theory early in the morning. It goes very nicely with my daily bowl of Froot Loops.

I guess it is time to get the old tinfoil hat on…

Lovely link, Max Torque. “whatreallyhappened” indeed. We can read such “facts” as:

Hawaii is a sovereign nation
The US sank the Krusk
The White House covered up the Vincent Foster murder
Flight 800 was shot down
The Clinton death list
Tim McVey was a patsy, and the OKC bombing was perpetrated by the US government

Plus the inevitable JFK and MLK links which i didn’t even bother to read the summary of. Please do not post crap links to support your claims.

Oh please. First, I found the link on FARK; it’s not like I’m a regular reader of “whatreallyhappened”. I just found what they said about the video to be interesting, and, like them, I find the video suspicious.

Second, if you’re really interested in “fighting ignorance”, you’ll be aware that attacking the source rather than the information is a pretty poor debate tactic. Even raving loons are correct sometimes. And doesn’t fighting ignorance really mean that you should consider all available information?

And finally, go fuck yourself. Until you have “Moderator” or “Administrator” under your name, you don’t get to tell the other kids what they can and can’t post, mmkay?

The story of CNNs priority being getting a “scoop” on other networks was reported here on our SBS Television.

Reports on CNN itself seem to indicate that getting the tapes to air on CNN was a higher priority than getting them into the hands of the US military or US intelligence organisations (note, that the report doesn’t make any mention of CNN having even contacted the US military or intelligence organisations to advise them of the existence of the tapes, let alone to ask for assistance in getting the tapes out of Afghanistan).

Note that the author’s concern does not seem to have been getting the tapes safely into the hands of US authorities.

Conspiracy to incite US citizens to war? I never suggested anything of the kind. Cynical journalism which puts “scooping” the other networks above the national interest? Certainly. And yes, I’m sure that CNN will claim fear that once the tapes were in government hands they would become classified and never see the light of day in unedited form. That CNN had a duty to show the world the extent of the evil of Al-Qaeda and they did not wish to risk government suppression of the proof of this evil.

The bottom line is that those tapes were worth money to CNN and its affiliates, and their handling of the tapes reflected that. Let’s not forget that from a counter-intelligence point of view it may well have been decided that it was preferable Al-Qaeda remained unaware that the tapes had been discovered and analysed. CNN’s actions took the choice to keep that information suppressed away from US intelligence organisations.

From this report on Fox.

First off, I should point out that I am a vegetarian. Secondly, I say a prayer frequently for the things that I’ve inadvertently harmed. Including plants.

As for the dog gassing… I didn’t see it and I refuse to see it. Knowing that things are dying is bad enough without having to watch it. Yes, I think it is horrible that they killed a dog. YES I think that it is important and relevant. NO that does not mean that the other things aren’t (even more) important and relevant. I just add it to my long list of reasons I hate their guts.

And yes, I want them to die. Evil things should die. I don’t mourn when evil dies.

Btw, re: if the movie is faked… do they mean that the video isn’t from the sources claimed or that the dog wasn’t actually killed?
