The going to work early MMP

Speaking of farting…

I woke up really early this morning because I had a stomachache, and couldn’t get back to sleep. It’s happened a few times in the past little while. I think I know what the problem is and how to fix it, though.

Drae, don’t get your hopes up too much as there’s this serious issue with Doggio:

OBL was the only dog I’ve ever known who would give audible warnings .
The funniest thing is his poor little pea brain didn’t get it; he’d be lying there, toot; then lift his head & look back as if to see where the noise was coming from! :smack:
Today is HellDay[sup]TM[/sup]; wish me luck!

Blurf.

My Boxers are followed around the house by green clouds. Just sayin’…

Happy happy joy joy, I finally got my cell phone replaced yesterday. Two weeks with a resurrected zombie dumb phone was pure hell.

Good morning!!

My sweetie should be on his way home - he was going to leave around 6:30. Overall, the weather radar looks good, but it’s a long ride and a long day - we shall see how he fares.

Higgs tends to toot when she gets up on her hind legs to be skritched. It’s as if fingernails down her spine trigger the release! She’ll sometimes to a little crop-dusting past **FCD **- it’s hilarious to hear him when the scent wafts his way!

In other news - my back yard looks like a mushroom farm. That means it’ll soon look gross and slimy as the fungi die. I’d run the mower over the whole mess, but it’s wet out, and there aren’t too many things more disgusting than trying to clear wet glops of cut grass and stuff out of a mower.

No crabbers today - big surprise. Last night, I had to scan and email the “daily log” sheets that I fill out when I see a crabber. I had 13 of them. In a month and a half, I’ve seen 13 crabbers, and 2 of them were when I was in training. This job hasn’t come close to what I’d hoped. Wonder if I’ll hear back from the drafter job. Maybe they weren’t impressed with my five-year-plan…

Not a lot planned today. I need to rework the pattern I have for the stocking cap - instead of tapering down gradually, it makes abrupt changes. It reminds me of a telescoping antenna - larger diameter at the base, stepping down in size several times till it reaches its full length. Frankly, I think it looks stupid. But I know how to make it work the way I want, so there’s that.

And today, my baby brother is 57. He’s a big-shot company president who’s celebrating his b-day by attending a board meeting in Boston. He’ll probably whoop it up this weekend. Or not. He’s practically a geezer anyway! :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Thursday!!

Morning all,

Irk is irksome. I hafta irk all day tomorrow. I don’t wanna.

Blurf!

Winchester occasionally glares at us like that smell was our fault.

I believe we have fixed the air conditioner, but we have to wait for the sealant to dry before we can turn it back on. I have decided that I will wrap a towel around the offending area, turn it on, and check to see if the towel is wet after a few hours to a day. Because we can’t live without A/C. It was terrible in there last night.

Isn’t that what the Queen has, a bunch of corkeys?

**lieu **- BOOOOOOOOOOO! :stuck_out_tongue:

In 24 hours, if all goes to plan, I’ll be in the recovery room after yet another spinal surgery. No dramatic pictures for this one. It’s just a quick nip and tuck of a disk in my neck to make my hand work better, and the recovery should be quick.

**FCD **just called - he got stuck in a massive traffic jam at the Ohio-Indiana border. I pulled up Google Maps and gave him a detour, and it worked - yay! He stopped for breakfast and called me. I’ll be glad to have him home.

Meanwhile, it’s really boring here…

Good luck, Gotti, and remember while you’re gone we’ve got your back.

Let us know how it went when you’re able.

I’m up, caffeinated, and off today.

You have insulted my honor, sir! I challenge you to a duel at dawn. Squid at twenty paces.:stuck_out_tongue:

Good luck, gotti!

My husband and I need a serious date night. I think this current clinical rotation in critical care medicine this month is driving him crazy.

Happy thoughts, gotti!

The problem with getting up and having breakfast at 6 is that it’s 9:30 and I’m hungry!!! PB toast doesn’t stay with a body very long…

You’re a Mumper, we have no honor!

Besides, the squid are reserved for the noobs; make it trout @ 10 paces & you’re on! :stuck_out_tongue:
Good luck Gotti

I would be honored to be your second, Sir.
Might I recommend chainsaws at two feet?

DogBut, stop by my place and I can spot you a box of frozen squid. That’ll slap a knot on his head…

A “telescoping hat” sounds like something from Harry Potter.

You have him take US 40?

Yeppers. He took 40 east to 127 where he could get back on 70. Easy-peasy!
