Swampy, rain and tree leaves made mine lose the signal periodically. I would have it installed when the trees have the most leaves to keep a good signal.
There is a “Hawaiian Dish” that is larger and provides a better signal. I don’t know if you can get one in the contiguous states.
TY Swampy & Sahirrnee!
…you mean when the 2 miles along Rt 17 to the on ramp of the GSP takes 90 minutes? There’s a reason there’s Dunkin Donuts every 1/2 mile along Rt 17.
Anyrose, evil is trying to get past the 17 / 4 area (?)w/o an accident. There are days when you’ll want to spend the gas money on 202 to 23 to 46 to 3 just so you don’t have to deal with it.
I’ve worked in Burlington County, but Bergen is a wee(hawken) bit far of a drive. Oh well. ::sigh::
Jynx, I saw BodyWorlds, which is similar. It was cool for the first 2/3[sup]rds[/sup] but then I felt like, “I get it, enough already” & that it ran a bit long.

Kitchen is tidied, laundry is done, carpets are vacuumed. Go me!
I just downloaded a pattern for a knitted stocking cap - it’ll be perfect for using up scraps of yarn - my next project shall begin soon!
you should have it as a “never finished” cap and keep adding yarn to it when ever you have leftovers - it’ll be like Tom Baker’s Doctor Who scarf
Since I’m making the cap to sell, I’m pretty sure I’ll want to finish it…
Good advice flytrap! I’ve already been thinkin’ about dish placement.
{{{Nuts}}} sorry about Mousie.
Obviously I’ve missed a few important posts, so

Okay, I have watched an entire four-minute video on the yoo-toobz about cleaning out an air conditioner and fixing leaks in the out-hose. This makes me an expert because that’s what the interwebz are for. I have discovered that there’s at least one thing in there that nobody ever told me I was supposed to clean. So I’ll clean that.
The thing I hate most about owning a house (or a condo) is all the things I never knew you were supposed to do. A/C filters? Hot water heater bleeds? Cleaning under the fridge? How is anybody supposed to know you’re supposed to do that? Whenever I think I’m a grownup, I discover something else I didn’t know I was doing wrong.
Just finished watching a movie and a documentary on Netflix. Not sure if I’ll watch another documentary or look for something else.
I Netflix. Definitely worth $8/month.
I don’t know what I like better about it–binge-watching tv shows, or finding the worst horror movies ever made.
Not blurfy this morning, just a little slow. Leftover homemade chicken barley soup for breakfast and now for lunch.
Getting some things done, but not as many as yesterday.

Everyone at irk was very glad to see me. It’s good to know I do something around there, even if it is only minor gruntwork. I’m the only one who has the time to do it plus the experience to multitask it.
It was also nice that they scheduled the mandatory meeting for today so I didn’t have to burn up another vacation day for a meeting, like with the insurance meeting last Friday. The Ferret couldn’t make it, despite knowing about it for a week, because she had class and she has to work the overnight shift and she had to sleep sometime and she just can’t rearrange her schedule, why couldn’t they have the meeting on a day that was more convenient for her?!?!? Yeah, I was the one who fielded that call. Better she got me on the phone than Big Boss. I sanitized the note I left for management: “[The Ferret] won’t be able to make it for the meeting due to class.” She’s the one who’s going to have to have another A Talk with the bosses, so no skin off my nose.
Now I’m starving so I’m going to have supper. If you think this is early, consider this: before 3pm on irkdays, all I usually eat is a bowl of oatmeal and a piece of cheese (breakfast) and a peanut butter sandwich and whatever handfuls of trailmix I can scrounge in between guests and phone calls (lunch). If I’m lucky sometimes Big Boss will grab me a muffin or scone from breakfast. I. Am. Starving.
In keeping with the “going to work early” theme of this MMP, I did go to work early today.
I had a great day at work! It was the birthday of the tech guy at work. We all had a lot of fun. I had a great day!
Let’s hope nothing too bad happens today to shoot down my good mood. For now, I’ll rejoice in the day making me happy.
Click here to see the t-shirt rag rug! One day only! Free while supplies last! Offer void in Central and South America and the far reaches of Canada.
And I just scared a tree rat out of my tomatoes. Bastard.
Higgs left me three green, runny piles of love on the living room carpet. I’m guessing she ate something outside that upset her tummy. So I got to drag out the carpet cleaner, and I took advantage of having it out and cleaned a couple of other spots.
**FCD **called - he’s leaving Indy early tomorrow, intending to drive all 650 miles in one shot. Weather permitting, of course. We shall see.
I’m working on the stocking cap - I’m about to start reducing the diameter, so the work will go a lot faster - fewer stitches and all that, you know. I also need to think about something for supper, altho I’m not all that hungry. I will be later - better to eat earlier than later, I think. Maybe just a sammich.
I’ll be glad when my sweetie gets home.
Howdy Y’all! Dindin has been made and et. OYKW had to eat and run. He’s dealin’ with more paperirk stuff. He has an audit comin’ up next week, poor thing. I did cubed steak 'n gravy, smashed N.O.T. and peas. Crowder peas to be exact. 'Twas good.
Oh and I have teevee again. Sump’n about an outside box needin’ to be replaced. It took all of twenty minutes whatever it was.
Executive decision made - beenie weenie for supper. Not a big deal since I’m sleeping alone tonight. Taz doesn’t count.
Does Taz like Beenie Weenies?
