The good thing about NOT being in love...

…is that Valentine candy you buy for yourself is no more or less meaningful on the 15th than it would have been on the 14th, but it’s half price!

Well, I’m in love, but I can appreciate half price candy! WOOHOO! Bartell’s, here I come!

One of the guys working at the nearby QFC on the 13th (he wasn’t a regular cashier, they seemed to be a bit short handed, so he was doing it, but he was one of the guys wearing a dress shirt and tie - manager?) cheerfully scanned my items, most of which was Valentine’s candy for my husband (plus a secret stash for me), and some miscellaneous other novelty VDay items for family members, he said, “Ohhh, dear, bless you, bless you for buying this Valentine’s Day stuff. We just got our Easter merchandise in yesterday!”

Holy crap. Literally.

And all I could think of was: MINI EGGS! CADBURY MINI EGGS ARE COMING!

I can’t wait until the day after Easter.

…is the peace of mind of never having to worry about cheating, or if you’re on the verge of getting dumped?

Not sure which direction we’re taking this thread in: a list of good things about single life or good things about cheap candy? Either way, I guess I’m in favor of it. Thanks for reminding me I should hit the store today and scoop up some cheap candy.
