The GREAT Seattle Dope-Fest any one?

The “Dope Fest” back in July was nice, but now I propose a night on the town. Meet at a place, have some fun and go to another place, then another, then another. I’m thinking somewhere in the square, or the Maybe the U-district?. No kids, adults only. No real parameters except, don’t be a jerk, don’t drive afterwards and have a good time. I’m thinking about a Friday or Saturday night SOON, I don’t want to drag this out for weeks. I know there is the whole “king George” crew, though I never met any of you. So, whose into a SeattleDope? A good one! One we will talk about for a while?

I’m thinking:

Meet at a pub, eat, greet, hang a bit, then go see the nightlife? Lots of great Blues clubs and maybe-other places we could visit. So it is on the table. Anyone interested? I know I am. I know Christmas is upon us and we are busy, could we fit this in, or do you want to blow it off till January - February? I would like this to be as spontaneous as it possible, but still, I would like to see the maximum number of Dopers on hand as well. Suggestions for starting points are welcome, and ending points as well. So lets hear what you have to say. I would like this event to be something that Dopers from other parts of the world or at least the US would be happy to attend also.

Ok. I’m IN!

How ‘bout you?

I’d potentially be open to this (depending on scheduling of course), but having it before Christmas would be tough. Sometime in the Jan/Feb timeframe would be more doable.

Aim for late January, not a Friday, and I should be available. Hoo-rah!

Yeah, ** Hunter Hawk ** and Cervaise, I don’t know what heck I was thinking, I’m still back in mid November, I also agree on a Saturday night - there is usually more stuff going on. So Saturday the 22nd of January? Not very worm out, but Blues clubs can be cozy. So that’s a date to shoot for, now all we do is think about what we want to do and where we want to go, I’m still leaning on the Pioneer Square area for sheer density of places to hop around to, but whatever. Thanks for the input lets hear some more ideas!

As a matter of fact, I am interviewing for a job in Seattle tomorrow morning. If all goes the way it should (and can things really go any other way?) I will move there from Denver in January. Depending on how things go with the father in-law, I will be poor or I will be rich. Is The Vogue still in business on 1st? How about The Comet on Capitol Hill?

The Vogue: If I’m thinking of the right place, it hasn’t been there for several years.

The Comet: Yep.
