All week the weather forcasters were predicting this great snow storm that was going to sweep over the northeast. The prediction of a possible 12 inches(we don’t really get more than 3 inches at most in DE)had all the rednecks -including my father- running the the liquor store to stock up. I was even getting a little excited, hoping that we’d still be snowed New Year’s Eve so I wouldn’t have to babysit my cousin and sister.
But as I turns out the storm moved a little quicker than forcasted. We got an inch. ONE, SINGLE, POWDERY INCH.
It’s all in Oklahoma, babe. We never get this much snow and when we get snow at all, it’s ususlly in Januaray and February. We’ve had snow/oce on the ground for two freakin’ weeks and when I woke up this morning, it was snowing again and we had what looked like another 6-8 inches. Gah! I hate this winter.
We got some of it here in Tennessee too. We got about 3-4 inches which is not much at all but considering we were only supposed to receive scattered flurries with no accumulation, it shocked many people.
we were slated for 12+" and we only got 9. it has compacted so much from yestaurday that it looks like only 3. sigh. even so we had to cancel our dinner plans tonight and will be staying in. bummer.
We got maybe two inches about 10 miles south of Dover. I was all prepared to dig out the driveway today and drive my 19-year-old back up to UD tomorrow for winter session so he wouldn’t crack up his truck like he did last year during that wonderful winter blizzard.
