The Haggle

:walking around passing out some black and silver keychains engraved with “Vidi, Vici, Vene,” and some purple and gold stickers saying “Hags-R-Us” on them:

trying to get the publicity going…

Michi, that’s hysterical. I love it.

Made it through yesterday, much thanks to having the Haggle to hide out in throughout the day. This place is fabulous.

Would anyone care to join me in planting flowers around the gazebo this morning? I’ve got a fresh pitcher of iced tea…

grins at Katt I’ll help you plant flowers as long as we can get some of the guys to help us move them around. heads to the changing rooms and slips into shorts and a tanktop pulling her hair back with a bandanna and heads for the flower beds

Oh, Auxiliary boys…

::sits back to watch the rippling muscles and manual labour::

Could one of you assist me with the sunscreen?

Ooh! I’d love to help plant flowers! Maybe we can get the Lawn Care Specialist to help.

We need a Garden Designer. Anyone want the position?

::picks up her spading fork and gets to work preparing the beds::

My, what wonderful soil we have here at Haggle Heaven! Yes, I do like this place!

(This is everso much better than the work that I’m supposed to be doing!)

I’ll plant flowers with you but I’d rather have a Long Island Ice Tea!

So what kind of flowers are we planting?

I like Tulips and I know Marigolds keep out the cats. (I like cats but they don’t exactly agree with gardens…)

Lets do lots of colourful flowers to make it bright and pretty. Like Lilies and Snap Dragons. Of course we have to have some Bleeding Hearts as well.

Oh and we absolutely must have raspberries so we can go nibble when we feel like it grins

hums as she works in the dirt

::has one of the boys bring over a wheelbarrow filled with asters, pansies, and strawberry plants::

Hey everybody! Look at my cool new jar!

Wait a minute…this is not a jar…it’s a…a…BLENDER!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

::tap, tap:: Myron, are you still in there?

Flowers look great everyone!! Anyone need another drink? I’m gonna grab a bite to eat… where’s the resident chef?

Just thought I’d pop in to regain my composure. I have a job interview in less than an hour, and I’m so nervous! Wish me luck!

Hmm, maybe I should get a massage as long as I’m here, out by the garden. Ahhhhh.

Still nervous.

Beadalin - you’ll knock 'em dead. After all, You are a hag.

Wish me luck as well - I’m on my way to take my daughter to have nine of her teeth pulled out :frowning:

See you all later.

Sorry, I’m running late, been Haggling with the phone company most of the day.

Can I get anything for anybody?

Hi again. I just came back from teaching the last class of the semester…and I feel great!

The flowers look wonderful! How 'bout we plant some morning glories and moonflowers to climb up the sides of the gazebo?

::walks out to the deck, sits down, and props her feet on the railing. Looks out at the ocean::

What a beautiful windy day! Anyone wanna go sailing?

::Jumps up and heads toward the Sunfish waiting on the beach::

GBS comes running in… Bud Light for this girl. Looking around, hey guys… God, it’s good to see everyone. Did someone say chocolate?..Hey, can we have a little country music?.. Pass those jelly beans… And is that!!! Could that be… coming through the door???

grins Yah I love the gardens. wanders off and washes her hands then gets into her swimsuit and goes swimming I like it here. Lets stay forever and ever

Hello everyone!

Just had to share my good news! I closed on my new house today!

It’s not a new house, really. But it’s very special. It’s a Hag House if there ever was one. My great-grandma & great-grandpa bought it, brand new, in 1929. My grandma was born there. My mom lived there when she was born. My great-grandma sold it to my uncle on land contract, but then he & his wife had triplets. They had to get a bigger place. I’ve had my eye on this house for years. I knew, I just knew, that one day, this place would be mine. Now it is.

I got the mortgage, all by myself. On my own haggy merits. It’s mine. I will bring up my daughter in this Haggy place, and teach her the ways of Hagdom.

My great-grandma is still living, by the way, and was there with us at the closing (she had to be–she was the deedholder). She was a little sad, but then again, she wasn’t. She knew that it was time for the next powerful woman to take over this house. It’s not a big house. In fact, it’s quite small. But I feel a connection with this house.

I’m a grown-up now. I’m a woman. I’m a HAG.

YEEEEEHAAAAAA! Okay, I’m done being sentimental. Now I’ve got to tell ya, I’m so damn excited I could chew my own toes. Oh my Goddess! Woohoo! Woohoo! Woohoo! :D:D:D

Now for a margarita, and a manicure. Do we have a manicurist here?

Congrats, Cristi! Great news! Sit yerself right down here while we help you celebrate…

::flurry of joyous activity: daiquiris are poured, tasty tidbits and luscious men appear::

Watch the sunset over the waves, enjoy the fragrance of the garden and kick back, kiddo.

Veb

Congrats Cristi! wants to buy her Grandparents old house which is really nice but she barely remembers since its been years since she was in it
