The Hanky Panky

Does anyone know of an instrumental piece of music called the Hanky Panky? It’s played on a radio station here and my dad would like a copy of it. I’ve tried Googling it and there are a few other songs by the same name, but the one I’m looking for has no lyrics. That’s all the information I have to go on, having not heard it myself, and my dad doesn’t exactly possess amazing descriptive powers.

There are probably instrumentals for karaoke out there somewhere…maybe in here.

Is it a jazz tune with sax and trumpet? Could be “Hanky Panky” by Dexter Gordon from his album Clubhouse. Listen to a sample here.

It’s not The Stripper is it? (safe for work) For some reason that song popped into my head when I heard “hanky panky.”

Are you talking about “Hanky Panky” by Tommy James and the Shondells?:

This is the clearest version on Youtube, but it misspells the title of the song. This isn’t an instrumental song, but you may have heard someone else’s version of this song that had no singing.

Thanks for all the replies. I’ll get my Dad to have a listen when he gets home this week and post some feedback. Thanks again.

You can also try calling the radio station and ask who performs that version of the song. If it’s a small station they’ll probably be glad to help you.
