I like going to potlucks, or “carry-in suppers” as they’re often called in Indiana. Last time I attended one, I brought a deli tray of meats, cheese, and crackers. The meal followed a church service. One member of the congregation brought an ice cream freezer and cones, and cranked out dessert to order.
I just went to a potluck dinner on Friday night. Chinese rice, noodles, curry noodles, soya sauce chicken, mousse cake, apple pie, chocolate chip cookies, veggies, sushi (Norman and Kristy were afraid it would die in the heat, so they gave it to me), pop, water, juice, tofu… quite the feast.

I was reminded of that line when I saw the second Harry Potter movie - you could tell those fat kids were thinking “mmmmmmmm, floating cupcakes.”
A friend made cupcakes in ice cream cones for a daughters birthday party. They were very cute. Less messy than the paper cups.
My birthday is September 11th, and I have not enjoyed it for the last two years.

I left my car in the parking lot of the SuperTarget an hour ago – and couldn’t find it when I walked out!! I paced the parking lot for 20 minutes, called the police, etc…and then found my car. Heh. Talk about having a blonde moment. :smack:
