The horribly wonderful feeling of a rejection...

…letter. I got my first rejection letter from a company, about several poems I sent to them. I am so proud. I’m going to frame, and it’ll eventually be beside my first publication letter.

Oops, I meant I’m going to frame it. I’ve really got to start previewing.

Well, Speaker for the Dead, you’re ahead of me. I’ve not yet gotten my stuff together to even consider sending for publication.
However, that sucks, I’m sorry. But you know what they say…if at first you don’t succeed…

Best of luck to you!

It’s not you SotD.

God just hates you is all.

Good for you SotD. More for the way you’re handling the event than the event itself, of course. Prolific, decorated, and surprisingly thin author T.C. Boyle did the same thing. Said he managed to paper a wall in his home (or was it his office?) with rejection letters. Now he has a wall covered with dust jackets from his books.

Well, 'nuff rambling from me. Better luck next time!

I think the worst part is that it cost me $.92 for postage  Yeah, there are about 5 other magazines I can send to, and I’m writing new stuff, so I’ll get in eventually, I hope
