Want to do some of my sewing projects for me?
**StG **- yeah, your post made me call the vet. I came home with some antibiotics and one pissed-off cat. I also noticed when I went to put him in his crate that he’d peed on the loveseat also. Stoopit cat. Oh, and he did pee on me once, the little ass, but it was a year or so ago. Stoopit cat.
Thunderbooming considerably right now. I think supper will be sammiches or whatever is in the fridge. **FCD **is taking the next 2 days off. Da bum!
I was in a good mood - funny how fast that changed. <sigh>
FCM - I’m lucky my vet will give me antibiotics when I say the cat has a UTI, rather than requiring an office visit each time. I’d have to leave work early, drive an extra 60 miles (pick up cat, go to vet, drive home again), and pay an office visit fee. But this is maybe the 4th UTI the neutered cat has had in 18 months, which is worrisome. I wonder how I can start him drinking cranberry juice…

Well, that was fun. I was holding Taz while **FCD **squirted the meds down his evil throat. Doggone cat launched off me, clawing 4 holes into one of my favorite shirts. So I’ve got a new dustrag. Stoopit cat.
Rain is done and the temp has dropped 10 degrees or so. With luck, I can open the windows tonight. Maybe. I hope.
Argh. Gnat has abruptly become very sick. Not puking, just moaning and saying he feels crummy. TomKitten wants to climb on him lovingly and give him kisses. We’re having a big toddler-wrestling match.
Mr. Lissar’s out working on the deck. I’ve paged my Mum, who’s going to give me a hand with child control at bedtime.
Mooooooom, maybe you need one of these for Taz.
Scattered, smothered and purled!
Dindin was BK cause, well, didn’t wanna cook and it just sounded right today. Ima do better tomorrow cause I’m doin’ country fried steak.
Tahnks for all the reminders that I do not want a cat y’all!
Ima watchin’ Charlie Brown on the teevee. HEE!
Nitey Nite Y’all!
Ouchie on the cat claws, FCM. Too bad there’s not a different method of giving pets medicine that they would -like- it.
Congrats to the Lissar family - and I’ll add my voice to the others in hoping that this pregnancy will be different and vomit-free. LOL Sorry, LiLi!
Taxi, I’m glad that you’re back!! As to myself - well, I got sick, was in the hospital for 6 days, then decided to retire after nearly 34 years in the federal govt. I’ve still got health issues and it just didn’t seem workable for me to continue working, if that makes any sense. At the same time, however, I also moved across country to Albuquerque NM! So I’ve had a tumultous couple of months, to say the least. My son goes to grad school in NM, at New Mexico Highlands University, so at least I am near to him. My daughter and significant other are here also; the closest other family is a brother in TX, about 5 hours away from here. Another brother is in the SF Bay (east bay) area. The rest of the family is on the east coast! I may eventually move back east, but right now I am enjoying the different climate and temps and especially the lowered humidity in New Mexico.
Hope everyone has/had a good Wednesday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN ‘Tis 76 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 93 and, so they say, rain and tstorms beginnin’ this afternoon through tomorrow. Also, the predicted high tomorrow is… :: drumroll :: only 86Amurrkin! I may need my longjohns.
I need more caffiene and brekkie. Blurf. Irk purtification is also a near future must, alas.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
Gigablurf. Did not sleep well last night.
I got nuthin.
Okay. Feel morning sick.
Not really morning sick, but kind of gross. I guess that’s sort of good?
Shadow, that shawl looks adventurous! I’m terrified of knitting something so big with such small yarn.
MOOOOM hooray tomatoes!
Soapy ugh dentists!
Sorry I’m so late to the party this week. Have been filling in this week for someone who has actual work to do at work. :smack:
We did get a little bit of rain last night, while we were out to eat. Of course, my sandal decided to give out and I had to walk back to my car from an over-hyped wood-fired pizza/gelato shop barefoot, much to my embarrassment. I don’t think anyone noticed anyway. ::shrug::
100 DAYS!!
Til the Kid gets hitched.
Blurf.
I learned a new word yesterday. Pelf. The things you learn while reading old pulps.
Gave up on finishing the bloomers before Faire. Mom and I were too tired to work on them, and tonight I have to pack.
Fly-by post! Off to knit at Waffle House. ::vroooooom::
I must say, that sounds like a better thing to do than try to eat there.
Back from vacation. Maine, NH and Conn were all fantastic!!! Mass was ------- Mass. If Pennsylvania is a Commonwealth then Massachusetts should be a People’s Republic. Not badly; just to warn Tourons that its a little different there.
Already suffering from lobster roll withdrawal.
I was watching Nova last night and I learned something: I learned that cuttlefish can flash like a neon sign. (Couple of examples starting around 35 seconds, there’s a more detailed bit about it about five, ten minutes later in the show.)
Cuttlefish are neat.
taxi it is the new job that was sold to me as being waaaaay better than the old job alongside a move across country. It isn’t and the is turning to shit to as the only reason I took the job was to get company help with the house in Cali. The offer was waaaay low so now we have to short sell. It bites. The big one.
Tired and mad at the world today. mr ems and are are also fighting and bitching at each other. Grrrrrr
C’mon Friday!
Glad it’s almost Firday. What a week.
Daughter came over today to help with a trash/recycle run. Then we had a yummy supper of poke teriyaki, cabbage, 'maters, rice, and cantaloupe. There’s ice cream, but I don’t think anyone is ready for dessert.
I need to call a coworker today and arrange to take some computers to him. He’s going to recover data for me and I’m giving him the machines and assorted other computer crap that I don’t need. What he doesn’t want, he’ll recycle, and I trust him to purge/destroy my old hard drives. He’s good people. I intend to pay him for recovering the data, but I expect he won’t take any money from me.
I got a wire cube shelving unit from a coworker for $10 - it’ll be perfect for storing yarn so that I can see what I have. Everything’s in bags now all over the futon, and it’s a pain when I want to make something to figure out what I’ve got.
Tomorrow’s my last day as boss, so I’m taking in some pull-apart nut bread to share. 'Cause I’m nice, dammit!
