The I Have No Idea of The Day, Date, or Month MMP

@The_Stainless_Steel_Rat, can we get your pearls of wisdom on a t-shirt?

“Fools will always be with us. At least now you can spot them more easily…”

I’d have to wait until the COVID epidemic is no more before I could wear it, but I know right now it would be me most favorite-est t-shirt!

Butters Hey, what can it hurt? They also sent me cards for the cats’ birthdays, which was nice.

I’m back to my grouchy self today. Feeling quite under-the-weather. It’s the kid’s birthday, but she’s with her dad. I sent her a sparkly birthday message with puppies. I may see her July 4 for her party. I was invited, but it was one of those “you’re welcome to come but I doubt you’ll want to and there are stairs and it’s really going to be a pain in the butt for everyone if you’re there, but if you want to and can find a ride, I guess we can just park you outside or something?”
At any rate, I have presents to give and will be happy to see her whenever I see her. I am going to try to find a ride and show up because I think it will make a difference to her, but it will probably be more of a stop-by-to-say-hi-and-drop-off-gifts deal than anything else.

It’s been on-and-off quite windy and stormy here. That makes me anxious because power outages when it storms aren’t uncommon at this house. They usually get it back on within a few hours, but sometimes it takes days. I depend on the power for both phone service (I use the wifi) and water and can’t leave the house on my own (such as to make a call or to use someone else’s facilities) so… it would really suck if that happened. Weather app says it’s supposed to rain the rest of this afternoon and tomorrow and then clear up, so… here’s hoping. And I do have PT in the morning, so if the power were to go out tonight and my roommate were to not come home (which has been the norm this week), I at least know someone will be here tomorrow. Also, the power will most likely be fine and worrying about it is stupid.

Back from the hospital - the sky had opened when I was leaving and I’m quite soaked, despite my umbrella. But the radiologist confirmed that it’s just a cyst and nothing to worry about, so huzzah!!

It doesn’t look like we got any rain here, but 7 miles down the road, it was insane!! We need some rain here so I don’t have to drag the sprinkler around tomorrow, dammit! :stuck_out_tongue:

Howdy Y’all! The eye doc’s office called this mornin’ to tell me my glasses were ready. Yestiddy they told me it would be a week. Anywho, I went and got my new specs. I was goin’ to post a pic of me with 'em but apparently I cannot even though there’s a little button that tells me I can upload stuff into a message. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Took the first half of the chess board out of the clamps. Man am I rusty with my gluing technique. Lots of hardened overflow to clean up. Glued up the second half and did some preventative cleanup. Tomorrow will be The Joining Of The Halves.

Farmers’ market today. More fresh berries for breakfast!

@FairyChatMom WTG!

Happy Boob Dance! :postal_horn: :postal_horn:

(those are two honkers for you!)

Happy Hump Day! Is it still Hump Day if you don’t have a work week to get through any more? 'Tis 60º here, with a projected high of 64º and “patchy drizzle.” I wouldn’t have expected forecasters to wax so poetic. Good walking weather! I’ve got a serious banana craving, so I’m going to walk to the store to get some. I’ll mail son’s birthday card (It’s next Monday.) en route.

Something’s amiss with my left eye. I’m hoping it’s just a mild infection. I have antibiotic eye drops. (Docs let me keep some on hand. Infections can trigger graft rejection, so I’m supposed to get right on them.) If it’s not better by tomorrow, I’ll have to go in, but getting there is an issue, plus I don’t wanna.

Moooom, when will you get the results? It doesn’t take long to read a mammogram–I’ve had the radiologist come talk to me before I left–so hopefully you’ll be able to celebrate soon.

cookie, are you going to make the chess pieces, too? I’m in awe of anyone who can make things. I’m so inept that if I’d ever tried to use a buzz saw, they’d be calling me Three-Finger Nellie. Hope you get good stuff at the farmers’ market.

swampy, maybe Dot can tell you how to post photos, since she just posted those delightful cat portraits. Or has the feature been disabled since then? I hope we can post images, especially here in the MMP. Oh, and congrats on the new specs.

I’m with VOW, MetalMouse. I’d wear that tee shirt proudly.

At least at the moment, posting pictures seems to be disabled. I have done it successfully in a pet picture thread right after the move.

The ultrasound tech said the radiologist reviewed both the mammogram and ultrasound images and said it’s just a cyst and no cause for alarm. Not so much celebration as relief.

I’m throwing together some ground beef hash for supper, loosely based on a recipe I saw on line. Here’s hoping it’s edible.

I uploaded my photos to imgur (free, don’t need an account) and then just put the direct url on its own line. No code or anything- just the url.

It has to be on its own line, though, or else you just get https://i.imgur.com/ZAucX7p.jpg
Looks like doing it with bbcode - [img ] and [/img ] also works if that’s what you prefer.

I tried the drag-and-drop method that used to work :).

Happy Hump Day!
It was cool out this morning, wish I had worn long sleeves to the park.

It was cool this morning. I took the dogs to the park and then to daycare. They should be good and tired when they get home - and clean, as both will be getting a bath and their nails trimmed.

I didn’t get as much done as I had hoped. Irked a bit, then fell asleep sitting up in my chair.
I got an email from irk last night. From somebody new and it’s pretty obvious that English is not his first language. I figured it out what he was saying, I think.
Lots of stuff to do with the internal irkings of the company, which I don’t need to know. I need to know when procedures have changed, I really don’t need to know why. I think I got a raise, but I don’t know how much, which is something I would like to know. Or I can just be surprised!

Afternoon all. Shopping has been completed, went to three stores to do it but got everything on the list. added 4 more 12-packs of Pepsi since Kroger had it for $12 for 4 packs, that’s 0.25 cents a can and that’s just to good an offer to pass up…so I now have enough Pepsi reserves in the house to last me until Thanksgiving…

Rain has gone but more is on the way, we’ll see when it gets here. Temp is 80F but the humidity makes it feel like 400F… Humid it is.

FCM, good news on the medical front!

Sari, hope the raise is a big one.

vow, nellie, it’s your to use if you want to stop at a shop and get it on a shirt…if I borrowed it, it was from and old Irish saying: " *May those who love us, love us, and those who don’t, may God turn their hearts, and if He doesn’t turn their hearts, may He turn their ankles so we’ll *know them by their limping.

And nellie, if it’s still bothering you, get the eye checked. It might be a scratched cornea (I’ve had several of them and they are not fun).

Dot, if you can, go to the damn party. It ain’t for the adults, it’s for the kid and from all reports she cares about you. Hope you can make it.

Gotta run, take care all.

  • pokes head in door *

Looks like you guys have done some redecorating since I was here last. Nice fancy new coasters!

Coasters? I thought they were potato chips…

Work picked up, and we had tons of packages that didn’t even go in this state, let alone the warehouse. Guess some driver should have turned left at Albaqure.
HAPPY CANADA DAY!
I spent it letting Canadian Dave buy me beer.

Cats!
: tacklehug :

Yay FCM!!!

M.G. that’s good news. Cookies are better than booze, or at least, less hard on your internal organs.

That’s as opposed to the external organs, I suppose?

The thought of Butters sleeping peacefully, and Mr. Butters breathing happily, put a big smile on my face.

I’m a little verklempt now. Talk amongst yourselves!

You’re channeling Ruble again. You’d better get to work on that beard!

(And why do my quotes always look like this instead of being in a pretty box?)

Evening all. The predicted evening tunder-boomers went west of me, so no rain tonight (I think). Looks like Firday or Sattiday will be mowing day, depends if the rain will let the grass dry long enough.

Did my annual donations, my old HS soccer team gets a bunch (they charge the kids $100 to play HS Soccer due to budget cuts, so a bunch of us alumni pick up the tab for them), also the local NPR station, Alabama Public TV, and the Galapagos Conservancy. I also want to give a chunk of change to Snopes for all their work, but their site isn’t geared for taking a check…we’ll see if they respond to my e-mail or not.

Shoe, I always have Google translate on hand and hope your not too busy to check in now and then…

Take care all.

No pieces. For that, I’d need a lathe or some massive carving skills. Also patience. I have no fucking patience, damn it!
