It snowed. Our Internet is broken. Tech will be here on Monday . What did we do before smartphones?
Hugs all.

I’d love to be there to listen to the call to the insurance company:
“Umm, yes, I’d like to report an accident, a tree hit my car.”
“You mean you hit a tree with your car?”
“No, a tree hit me. I was just driving down the road, when WHAM, a tree hit me.”
“Mhmm, 'kay, & did you ingest any mind altering substances before this tree jumped out at you, ma’am?”
In other news, I put on a pair of pants I haven’t worn in a while; discovered a $20 in a pocket. (& no, I’m not sharing!)
sleepy time. nite-nite.
Night rosie!
Morning, mumpers! I had a nice lie-in today as it’s my Caturday, I am packed and ready, and in half an hour I am leaving for a long weekend in Paris. Woot!
Try not to trash the place while I’m gone, play nicely, use coasters and do what moooom says otherwise you’ll be on Teh List.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 35 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 60 and sunny. We’re supposed to start a gradual warm up to the 70s next week. We shall see.
gigity gotta watch out for them trees. Hope that woman is ok. YIKES!
Spidey I’ve found tens and twentys in jacket pockets from the last time I wore ‘em before. Always a good feelin’. It’s all like, “Hey! Found Money!”
Have fun BooFae! Try not to terrorize the natives too much.
Ok, I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. Le sigh.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
Have a great time in Paris, BooFae! It’s been nearly 30 years since my second (and last) visit to the City of Lights and I do envy you! Don’t forget to bring us all tacky souvenirs!
Temps stayed above freezing over night and the roads were mostly dry on the way in - yay! And this weekend promises to be quite nice - yay again! Perhaps I can take care of the leaves I was going to do last week.
**FCD **is still home in bed. He was awake long enough to tell me he took the dog out at 1 and he’s almost lost his voice, so was going to sleep in. Then he retreated to the guest room, locked the door, and that was that. I’m pretty sure I didn’t disturb him with my morning routine, but in any event, I was only up and about 30 minutes before leaving, so he should be asleep again. We’ll see whether he makes it in this morning.
Meanwhile, I have a huge to-do list, so I should be well occupied today. And I’ll stop on the way home to get some kitteh kibbles, since we’re running low. Can’t have the kittehs going hungry, now, can we??
Happy Thursday!!
Gee, it’s so much fun working for a research university! From yesterday’s e-mail:
"Need human diarrheic samples for research purpose
If you or people around you unfortunately get gastroenteritis (defined as diarrheal disease of rapid onset, potentially accompanied by nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain or fever), please consider donating diarrheic samples to our study. This is for research purpose only."
I feel so much better knowing this so for research purpose only. And I’m very, very glad I have no samples to donate.
I always thought the quote symbol many inches, as in, * the forecast called for 2-4" of snow *; apparently I was wrong; it must mean flakes, as in if I look heard I might find 2-4 flakes .
**Spidey **- if I want to see flakes, I can start with the woman in the next cubicle…
ewwwwwwww!
Morning all,
Happy Thorsday. I have exactly nothing exciting to say.
**freebie **- um, I mean that she’s a flake, not that she sheds flakes or anything like that… I get to overhear her flaky conversations about diet and the “fact” that everyone is allergic to wheat - but lots of people ignore it. And how she got all bent out of shape because her mother-in-law *dared *to give her son (he’s 3 or 4) a *banana *- OMG - it has *sugar *in it!!! This is the coworker who comes in, takes her shoes off, then aims a space heater at her feet.
Oh never mind - it was funnier in my head.
WARNING: Do not attempt to read that thread unless you really have nothing you need to do for the rest of the day. I also got sucked into that trap last night…
We have rain today- after the longest dry spell in a year, two whole weeks.
I was going to go plant some feijoa bushes I bought, but I don’t really want to do that in the wet- so I’m debating going fishy shopping instead (they don’t mind if it’s wet), but that would involve getting properly dressed, which I ain’t yet.
Have fun in gay Pareee Boofae! Bring us back a croissant and a string of onions for our belts!
So an hour and a half ago I started what will be a 16 hour day.
Yay.
I haz the grumpies today.
Will they take shipments?
Gross LOL
me too
Thanks for the clarification! I retract my “ewwwwww” then. These are the kind of things that make me glad I have a real office with a door.
I’m up, caffeinated, and un-grumpy. Hockey tonight.
