Hubby continues to have A-Fib. We ventured to Miami last week to see the Cardiologist. 9 hour trip to the Dr. Then less than 15 miles from home on the return we had a blowout right before the 7 mile bridge. We had to put on a doughnut or little temp tire then backtrack several miles to buy a real tire. Thank Og it didn’t happen in Miami on the turnpike while we were running 80 MPH. I never drive over 55. Had we been on the bridge there is not way we could have changed it thus Tow Truck and more money.
Just tonight he DH came home with a bird he found with a broken wing. As luck was on our side we have a wild bird rescue on this island. DH took it to them, gave them a $100 and said to name it after him. They said OK and he is so worried about the bird. I promised I’d call tomorrow to check on it. We did find out it is a Kingfisher. Bless it’s little heart.
Irk is rather irksome these days. My lead finally retired and moved to Merryland. I work for DOD and am subject to furlough but no official notice yet. We are having a Blue Angels Air Show in just over 2 weeks. this will be the last until our pols get their shit in order. It is a huge amount of work!

I was lookin’ at the forecast for March 16th which is Sattidy next week when we’ll do our big St. Patrick’s celebration over to the church house. Highs should be upper 70s. Should be a nice day to be able to sit on the “patio” outside the kitchen door and drink green beer!

This morning I go for the MRI of my knee. Then lunch with a friend who I haven’t seen since before the semester started. And I just realized I’m a very bad friend because her birthday was in January and I got so caught up in everything that I forgot it. :smack: Obviously I need to do a little shopping before I meet her. Duh. Duh. Duh.

Good morning and TGIF!! My sweetie slept in again today. I find it interesting that he got the flu shot and this is the second time he’s been sick this winter. I didn’t get the shot and the only time I was sick was at Christmas when he gave me his germs. Funny how that worked out…
I am going to suggest that tonight he sleep in the guest room with the door closed and the vaporizer running. I think part of what’s irritating his throat is the very dry air. Since the guest room is pretty small - maybe 11X12 - we should be able to get the moisture in the air up pretty easily. We’ll see how he receives that idea.
Small pellet stove crisis last night. As usual, I just dumped a bag of pellets in, but it turned out I should have scooped and looked at what was going in the hopper. This bag had a lot of oversized pellets and way too much dust. The augur got clogged and no pellets got to the igniter. We had to scoop out all of the pellets and dust that we could, then vacuum the best we could before refilling with proper pellets. Then it worked just fine. I took pics - the pellet company is getting a letter from me. Granted, this is the only bad bag we’ve had out of 2 tons (100 bags) but it made a huge mess and took us an hour to clean up, and I want the bag replaced. I won’t be as creative as BBBobbio, but I intend to make my point. Their response will determine future business.
Meanwhile, much to do so I anticipate a busy day. And a beeyooteefull weekend ahead, so I’m hoping to get a lot of leaves cleaned up. **FCD **is going on a ride with the local HOG chapter. I’ll rake. Win-win!
One may justifiably spell Shakespeare however one wishes- he apparently picked a spelling at random, and no two spellings of signatures matched. He probably never used ‘SHERKSPER’ though
It’s looking like this seed swap is gonna be cancelled- a bit irritating, as it’s supposed to be this sunday, and I’ve been busy hunting and decorating shoeboxes all week for it. Apparently though, there’s been almost no advertising, and what little there has been is riddled with misinformation, including conflicting start/finish times…
Even more annoying, I’m two boxes short, whish I was going to go get today- but I won’t know if there’s any point until someone else gets back to me, which is unlikely to be until this evening. Oh well. Might as well do it anyway!
