There is absolutely no logical reason for me to be up this early on a Saturday. Well, except for the stoopit dog whining at 5AM… :rolleyes:
… and a bit of worry. I got a text from my daughter at 3AM saying she was in Georgia. She should be somewhere in FL by now, altho she hasn’t had enough time to reach Orlando. I’m worried, tho - she’s been driving all night. I left her a message to call me as soon as she could. 
I applied for a really interesting part time temp job with the state fisheries - monitoring crab harvest. It’s 2-4 hours a day, 5-7 days a week till the end of November. Fingers crossed - it sounds cool!
In a couple of hours, I’m going out to mow. I’d like to do some weeding also, but my back is starting to feel normal, so I don’t want to push it. We’ll see how it goes. I need to put the dining room back together after cleaning the carpet yesterday - that is, I have to put all the chairs back. And I’ll do a general tidy before **FCD **gets home. Mostly, I plan to chill. Good times!

I am pleased to see Caturday at last, I have been up for a while and so far I’ve done one load of washing, cleaned up the kitchen and done the ironing. I am off for lunch at the local curry place since they do a lunchtime buffet on Saturday and I haven’t been there for ages. Then it’s errands and I’m off to get my hair cut too. I shall be all sleek and lovely later, so beware!

I need to mow da yahd as well but looks like that ain’t a happenin’. To date we have had more rain down heah than we had all of last year and it’s rained a bunch this week. Thus da yahd is in desperate need of mowage.
Today’s agenda includes attendin’ a service this afternoon at three p.m. at the downtown Whiskypal church for the installation of their new Priest, the retirement of their outgoin’ Deacon (a good friend and the reason we’re goin’) and the installation of their new Deacon followed by a reception. This should be loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong! After that we are goin’ to a drop by doin’s for another friend’s 73rd bday which we must do bein’ as she’s called three times in the past two days to make sure we’re goin’ to show up.
I know y’all envy the whirlwind that is my social life.
Ok, now I need more caffiene and should feed rumbly tummy. Maybe I should cook a real brekkie. Or not. Might settle for cereal, milk and toast.

I may not be mowing after all, It’s still very wet outside and since I need to mow the ditch, which is sloped and slippery when wet, well, it’ll have to wait. And there’s no sense trying to mow the yard since the wet grass will just clog the mower. So I get to be a bum. Yay!

Finally heard from my daughter - shortly after 3, they stopped at a hotel in GA. After she called, I received the text - weird… Anyway, she’s alive and she should get to Orlando by early afternoon, so yay. **FCD **just stopped for breakfast at I81 and I64 - so far, so good - at least he’s headed in the right direction.
Wonder if I should try to mow the ditch? If I don’t do it, he will, and that’s not good for a guy with a bad back… But it’s so comfy here!!!

4. Then try 50-lb potato bags and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute (I’m at this level).

Today starts my week long holiday pet sitting. Today is just cats but tomorrow I start my week of watching piddle pup. He wants me to come over 5x a day so I may as well just stay there all day.
I’ll only be home to clean up and sleep.
I’ve been busy getting estimates for home repairs. I’m afraid to wait too long to make an offer but I want to know what I am getting into before I do.
FCM the job sounds interesting and probably fun. Glad the daughter is ok and if FCD starts to head this way, tell him not to ask me for directions or who knows where he’ll end up Probably NY.
