The I stayed up until midnight just to post this MMP

Jim when I was growin’ up in Ye Olde HomeTowne, Big Star was a grocery store, a chain that is no more alas. Thus I have a mental image of you chuggin’ a beerverage right there by the coldcuts and bacon.

Big tboomers have been movin’ through with more on the way it seems. The temp went from 92 Amurrkin to 71 Amurrkin in about an hour. Ima go lie upon the bed and watch me some teevee whilst listenin’ to storms until sleepy time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

We got thunder but no rain.
More pet sitting coming in, which is good because I need the money, but it looks like Saturday through the following Sunday is going to be a lot of running.

You can get one as standard equipment in your car.

The rest of theTrunk Monkeyvideos…

(shaking head) Still not seeing where he has any respect for you or your needs. If you’ve flat-out told him what’s bothering you and he’s refusing to “get it”, he just doesn’t care what you need/want, he only cares about getting his way.

Got caught in a horrific thunderstorm with a whole orchestra today. God, I hate thunderstorms. I was going to start a Pit thread about thunderstorms but I was afraid people would think it was lame. I may yet do it someday.

Mrs. Plant is home and I am alive.
She wanted shrimp with garlic, green onions and zucchini stir fried in butter, and it still made her ill.
:frowning:
I rubbed her feet while she went to sleep to get up at an unG-dly hour to work at ther dark, satanic mill.

She brought home Night Hawk TV dinners, available only in Texas, and aforty gallon breeder aquarium she bought on ebay.
Her bid was $98.00, and there was aFluval canister filter with it. Cool!

Can anyone explain why cats insist on getting involved in bedmaking? I don’t know about anyone else, but I find it difficult to get sheets and blankets spread out when there’s about eleven pounds of fur and voice in the middle of the mattress.

Sari, I’d have dumped him after the first incident and made sure he stayed dumped. Just sayin’…

I am at irk and somewhat irked. I have lost access to the main shared network drive that I’ve been using so can’t access any of my stuff. I rang the IT man, his phone went to a message with a helpline number. So I called the helpline, chappie suggested I try logging in again and if it didn’t work, I should call back on a different number and he’d sort it out. Logging in didn’t solve the problem, I rang the second number but it went straight to “Microsoft Exchange” and wanted me to spell out the surname of the person I needed to contact, except I don’t have that info. None of the other numbers are answering either so I am stuck not being able to do very much so far.

Bah! I’m having a cup of tea instead.

Blurf.

Apparently Canada is infested with giant animals: Massive Wolf Chases Motorcyclists for a Mile.

Hey sari, I just wanted to say that I thought your OP in your phone thread was crystal clear. No idea what those other people’s problems were…

Well, happy Tuesday. Hopefully work will continue but injuries will cease today.

Short night. I was over-caffeinated and stayed up till after 11. Naturally, the dog wanted out at 6, so I’m in pseudo-zombie mode. I just finished breakfast and shortly, I will dress and go out to finish the garden. FCD is finishing the trim bits for the deck, and I think he’ll make the handrails for the steps today. He’s going on a long-ass bike trek to Roanoke starting on Thurs, leaving me without adult supervision for 2 nights…

Another hot day in the offing, so I really should get started before it’s too gross out there. I just don’t feel like it. I haz a lazee!!

Happy Tuesday anyway!

Morning all,

It is rather un-remarkable here. My goberment boss must have had a lobotomy because she has actually been nice and reasonable the last week or so. I’m scared. Mr. Jynxster must have also had the same procedure as he has been nice, and helpful and actually pro-active about some things. I like these new people but it slightly feels like I am on some hidden camera show or everyone around me has been replaced by alien-robots.

Blurf[sup]grumble[/sup]

Seconded

I usually go ahead and make the bed with a lump in it. Somewhere around the blanket stage, the lump will slither out the side and I can finish up.

Speaking of lumps, Sick Cat made a few appearances downstairs last night, and I have confirmed that he can jump up onto the counter to eat if he wants to, so there will be no more feeding him upstairs. He seems to be doing well, but he’s lost enough weight that I’m going to continue paying close attention to what he eats.

Also, today I wore a skirt that I keep refusing to throw out because I like it, it’s the only brown skirt I have, and the length is just right. Only it’s too damn small, and I end up uncomfortable all day every time I wear it. And I know this, but I keep refusing to get rid of it because I’m a crazy person. Sigh.

she is aware begin decontamination procedure

Blurf be back laert when I am conhertaht

Blackhawks won last night, so less blurfy than usual.

sari, my suggestion would be to bury OAOASO up to his neck in sand, and pour Sri Lankan spider mating pheromones on his head.

This! This is why I don’t make the bed; critter could get trapped in there & be stuck all day.

  • Of course in my case, it’s hypothetical critters as I don’t have any real ones at this time, but still a hypothetical critter could hypothetically get trapped if I (hypothetically) made the bed. :stuck_out_tongue:

In non-hypothetical news, it’s supposed to be 90°+ & hoomid, meaning a nasty heat index today. I’m glad I work in an orifice & am not a roofer in this weather. I could hear them on the next street.
