{{{sari}}} & Good luck! Fingers still crossed for you.
I hate packing. Always feel like I forgots something. Too late now though.
So…I was exiting the parking lot from the hairs dresser. The last store in the fairly large strip mall is a Michaels. The parking lot driving area between the store curb and the begining of the actually parking lines is about three cars wide. This lady (thankfully about 75 feet in front of me) decides to stop. Now where did she decide to stop you ask? Next to the curb where her cart was you ask? Of course not. HA! That would be logical. She stops in the middle of the driving area. A car could have passed her on the outside or on the inside between her and the curb. She FLINGS open her drivers side door, does not look for any cars that might be coming. LEAVES it all the way open. Pops the trunk and goes to unload her cart on the curb. Who does that??? :dubious: :smack:  I tried to make a diagram but it didn’t translate well.
**Jynx **- you didn’t recognize the Queen of the Parking Lot to Whom No Rules Apply??? Pay attention next time, woman, and offer the proper respects!!!
It’s a cloudy icky 71 degrees with a projected high of 83.
I’m up earlier than need be but I’ll stay up and get to irk since I played hooky last night. First I have to eat because I skipped dinner last night and I’m hungry.
I see the HFH went out so I’d better jump up and make something to eat while I can get into the kitchen. She leaves tonight, I can’t wait.
Yawn. Last day of the week for me. Hooray! Roomie’s car is back and not fixed, but they promise her that it will be okay for another several thousand miles and the parts won’t be in 'til next week, anyway. But it took two hours in terrible traffic to get her to the dealership and back to pick it up last night.
Starting physical therapy for my knees today, so we’ll see how that works out. I even shave my legs in case somebody has to touch them. I’m considerate, dammit.
Inteview didn’t exactly go great this morning, though they were aware I was in the middle of moving house, and it was pretty obvious I was flustered- we shall see.
Had another go at moving stuff- Operation Sofa is still to come, but I bumped into the guy in the top flat (who I’ve barely spoken to since he moved in), and it turned out he wanted a small armchair, and the one I had spare was about the right size, so he not only took that, he helped me move some of the other things out to the street- the place is student central, and it’s just coming up for moving in time… It’s like having a swarm of locusts around.
I’ll take any leftovers to the tip tomorrow- if folks in da hood don’t want it, there’s no point donating it.
New house has hot 'n cold running kitties- I’ll have to get used to being pounced on in bed; one jumped in through the window on me last night- upstairs, I might add
No blurf, just blah. At work. Hit Taco Bell drive through on the way in. Need to cut down on the drive through thing.
The Challenge continues. So far, two instances of walking a mile in the evening and now this is the second time walking a mile in the morning. I like the morning better. Got it down to 23 minutes. I’ll probably feel pleased about it later.
Need to make a to do list to keep things going. Hugs to all.
Back from a jaunt to Annapolis. We had lunch, **FCD **got something for his motorcycle, and we had a nice ride there and back. We also drove by 2 of the places on our crabber list - since **FCD **will be covering it while I’m at work, I figured he should at least see the places. And we ended up at the barber shop where he got de-fuzzed, or maybe re-fuzzed, since about all that’s left on his skull is fuzz.
Yeah, speaking of freebies, according to the letter I gave to ex, it’s now 3 days until he’s supposed to be out. I’m seriously thinking about handing him a generous severance and telling him he really needs to be on his way. Or do nothing at all…Frak.
Maintenance M gave me another 1/4" bit that he claimed was sharper. Well, it did make a bit more of a dent in the bottom of the crate than the other, but it still didn’t go all the way through. He’s off tomorrow, so I’ll give the drill and bits back to Maintenance T and talk to M when he comes in to pick up his check and see if he has anything sharper.
Didn’t take a walk today. I’m taking care of a few things I’ve been trying to put off instead. My goal for September is to stop being a procrastinator. I need to move back down to the amateur level. I need to get some crocheting done on the Neverending Teal Blanket as well. The call of the games has been strong the last few days. It’s also too damn hot to walk right now.*
*Too hot = 84 American and muggy. I’m acclimatized, okay? Wait until January, then I’ll be bitching about the bitter cold. It all comes around with the seasons.
Went to unofficial hockey practice today. I paid off the Grand Cherokee today. Rory’s all mine now. Watching the UNC/ South Carolina football game. Go Gamecocks!(ABCD!)
Congrats on the sale, midget! I sat you learn “Hot For Teacher” on the ukelele.
Yay for the almost end of moving, Nut!
I applied for a show run by the same people that did the show in early August which was really good and apparently I didn’t get accepted. I say apparently because I didn’t receive notification either way so I figured this means I wasn’t accepted and I’m kinda bummed about it. I’m also kinda relieved because the show is in two weeks or so and they’re expecting 50,000 people and I’d be about half dead by the time I felt that I was actually fully prepared for it and by the time the actual show was over. Oh well. This too shall pass. This means no more shows until October.
Ok, I need to go write a clever math lesson…
I somehow forgot to post this but in the meantime I sent an email to the people about that show to find out for sure. The worst they can do is to tell me to go suck eggs or something.
