The Late Night MMP

The Late Night MMP, or if you prefer, the Monday Midnight Post.

And now I’m off to crash in the bed, hijack away.

No you can’t go to bed yet! You promised us all PB&J sandwiches.

Monday morning came too soon, altho going to bed at 10 makes 5AM only 7 hours away, so we might have contributed to the space-time continuum thing. Another couple of hours would have been nice. But **FCD **is on his way to work, Higgs has been fed, and the dishwasher is washing the dishes. I’m having a PB&J for breakfast (chunky PB with homemade strawberry J) before hauling all the laundry downstairs. There’s a threat of rain today and I’m not going to hang clothes out and tempt it. But I do need to run a load of unders, and those go in the dryer because they take too doggone long to hang out and bring in. Plus running the dryer every week or so is good for it. No, really, it’s a fact!!

If the groomer is at the pet place, Higgs will get a pedi today. Since our yard doesn’t have much paved area and even when I take her for walks, she prefers to stay off the asphalt, her nails don’t get worn down. So Michelle at PetValu trims for length, then files for smooth edges while I hold Higgs close in an attempt to calm her. Yeah, that works well. I swear, you’d think Michelle was cutting her feet off with dull scissors…

I think that’s all I have to do today. I’m going to try to finish the quilting - the sewing part isn’t bad, but drawing the lines seems to take forever, and I’ve still got the 4 biggest pieces to get lined and ready to go. Oh, plus the load of unders. How could I forget that??

Good times ahead. Happy Moanday!

Second night unable to sleep.

**Gatopescado **- I dealt with that for about a week - it was awful! Wish I knew what triggered it and what stopped it. It may remain one of life’s mysteries.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, purtified, and caffeinated, so no YAWN. Tis 78 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 96 for the day. Also, ‘tis a lot less hyooomid (for these parts) than usual. We’re goin’ to Pearly’s for brekkie this mornin’. YUM! After that I shall travel to two counties in the south forty which won’t be too bad as they are two of the closer to the orifice counties so I should be able to handle stuff and be back to the orifice before noon.

Ok, that’s all I got for now. I hear rumblin’s from the bedroom which indicate OYKW is now purtified, so we shall head out shortly.

Happy Moanday Y’all!

::yawn::

I’m exhausted, but at least it was nice to be able to sleep in all the way until 5:40 this morning. A perfect weekend, got it up 5 times.

The balloon! Where was you’re dirty mind going? :dubious:

Blurf. Airman and I spent a lovely weekend in DC, where we wanted to see the National Archives and all of the valuable documents therein. Alas, this wasn’t meant to be because there was a very long line and said line wasn’t moving. So we went to the Air and Space, Natural History, and American History museums instead. It wasn’t quite what we had in mind, but it was still fun. Now I’m sore and I don’t wanna get out of bed.

The sprog comes home tomorrow. My parents said that he’s behaving himself. This means that he will be his old, whiny, ornery self in short order.

Blurf.
I plan to go to the bank today and get some American money and travel insurance.

I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow.

Bluh-uurf.
Paging Swampy (serious page, BTW)

Afternoon, mumpers. I has a blurf.

It’s Moanday and I am at irk. I don twanna! Actually I don’t feel particularly well today, nothing major is wrong but I just don’t feel quite right. Not sick enough to not be at work, and I kind of thought that being here doing something might make me feel better. Hasn’t worked that well, I still feel icky. I didn’t make anything for lunch this morning at home so now I have to go and see what uni catering has got…and I still don’t really know what I want from there either.

'Tis just a blurfy kind of day.

Semi-blurf. I don’t feel bad, per se, just really want to go back to bed.

Working from home today, so it’s not too bad…except for feeling totally lazy and uninspired about doing anything.

I may go nap for an hour. No one logs in before 9:30.

Up, caffeinated, working closing shift tonight. It’s been thundering the last 2 hours.

It’s a scientific fact - if you own pets, you’ll never have to pee alone again! All 3 of our critters will help me, altho Taz just wants me to turn on the faucet so he can get a drink. Higgs and Ziva jostle each other out of the way to get skritches while I’m sitting around doing nothing. That’s why we warn all visitors to lock the bathroom door when they need to use the facilities - Taz can and will open the door. He’s all stubborn like that.

Meanwhile, I’m out of robe-and-slippers and into shorts-and-tshirt. I’ve got a load of whites in the washer - OK not all white, but pastel unders sorta qualify. And I’ve scooped the cats’ box and swept up litter that was flung down the stairwell. The dishwasher is propped open so the dishes can dry.

I should finish the stitch lines on the last 4 panels, but what I want to do is run to WaWa for a donut. Stoopit Donut Fairy didn’t deliver this morning. She can be such a bitch…

Up. Working on caffeine. Flinching at the knowledge that I will have to call for a dental appointment to fix the filling installed badly a week ago. Ouch! :frowning:

Blurf.

Woke up about 0200 (well, I didn’t want to wake up, but my kidneys insisted…), then back to sleep until the glorious hour of 0450…Cleansed, fed and hydrated, am now at irk.

MsRobyn, it’s been years, but I also remember long lines at the Archives…never really understood why, the other musuems never seem to have them (I will note that there always seems to be a big line at Treasury for the tour, but those are guided so I give them a pass).

Still, Air and Space, Natural History and American History are not bad alternatives.

This Friday will mark my 34th Anniversary of (more or less) work at my US Gub-mint job. One more year to 35 and I think that will be it.

**MetalMouse **- I had 37 years when I took my crayons and left, but 11 of those were in uniform. It was 4 years ago this month. Not too long ago, I had dinner with my former boss and some former coworkers - listening to them talk, I know I made the right choice.

Stoopit temperature is rising, so I’ll have to close the windows shortly. Alas…

Damned morning people.

I’m starting off my day with a thunderboomer. Now I don’t need to water my garden.

Monday morning routine started. Spent weekend at parents with sister & nephew catching up. Visited elderly uncle at the senior home and tried to fix his tv (someone stole his remote and my parents ordered the wrong replacement). Was able to get one channel at this time but he’s happy with it (three new universal remotes on the way from Amazon).

Nothing much else to report. Two weeks until a two week vacation, looking forward to that.
