Yeah? Cool. I haven’t had one in years.
So, sleep during the day!
Have you tried Melatonin?
Only because we’ve been at it an hour longer than you.
In other news, blurf.

Morning, y’all. I would love a PB&J. Nom nom nom! I’ve always been so grateful that despite being allergic to a lot of stuff, I am not allergic to peanuts.
My boss has been in the office for an hour already and has done no work, instead drifting from one office to the next, chitty-chatting.
I have a doctor’s appointment next week. I want to get a mole removed from my face. I have many moles, and none of the rest bother me, but this one is a little bit raised, and juts out, and I hates it, I do.
So I went online to try to fill out the paperwork, but I gave up because online DEMANDS I give them every bit of information, including stuff that is none of their business - where I work, what my SO’s social security number is, my work phone number, stuff like that. Instead I will fill out their handwritten paperwork and only put what I need. I am not comfortable sharing that much info with you!
Anyway, it’s Monday, and here I am!
Please add pecans and bananas to mine.
I received some aquarium stuff last week, including two tiny emerald crabs. One jumped from my hand as I was placing them into the tank, and I had to chase him across the floor in the fish room.
PB &J and chicken soup are delightful. I think I’ll have that for lunch today.
On my way to irk, I got a call from Airman. Seems there was a massive accident on the highway and traffic was backed up and I should take an alternate route. I did so and ended up smack in traffic from a different accident. I can’t win.
I want to go home.
We had the worst luck with emerald crabs, unless they have an extremely short life span. I was just thinking the other day how much I don’t miss the aquarium. I liked watching the fish and stuff, but the water changes and other maintenance, as well as the drama of dying stock etc, well, it’s lots nicer having a piano sit there - all I have to do is dust it occasionally.
Just finished folding and putting away our unders. I was going to watch NCIS, but it’s one I’ve seen way too many times. Just waiting now for the rain to come thru. And it will, because I watered my newly seeded lawn areas.
Odd morning already. A friend (not super-close but more than just casual) had his Mom pass yesterday (I believe) and I’ve helped some with the stuff that needs done. Its one of those cases where its almost a blessing; she was diagnosed with brain cancer in April and could have lingered and been in pain and treatment and more pain for years.
Helping with some of the final details for the Old Wench’s trip. Making sure just the right clothes are all clean and everything else is arranged.
Starting to look into returning to work where I was or somewhere else.
Getting ready for the annual cathouse event over in Ohio this coming weekend. Right now the weather does not look the best but its still far enough away to change.
This is already shaping up to being one of those days.
Driving to a cool press conference right now:
NASA - NEW HORIZONS - PLUTO - NASA is inviting media to cover the New Horizons spacecraft’s closest approach and July 14 Pluto flyby from the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, Maryland, site of the mission operations center.
Flytrap, I’m in adoration with your emerald crabs! I’m really hoping MOOOMMM’s experience is atypical. They are lovely.
Thank God for Aleve. Modern medicines are a wonder and help to cushion the fact that my dentist’s office is apparently on vacation and will not reopen until Tuesday, July 21st.
Sounds like you could use some too, MsRobyn, though for a pain of a different kind!
**tugig **- I’m envious!
My sweetie was involved in the transport of that spacecraft when he worked at Goddard, so he’s especially excited about its flyby.
BLURF
At irk of course. Busy day getting ready for an accreditation visit from TPTB.
have a great week all!
Morning all. I’m cooling off after a trip to Wally World, its already in the upper 80s and extremely humid.
I said no such thing and you can’t prove it.
Happy Moonday!
It’s a cloudy 77 degrees and only supposed to get up to 78.
So cool day today.
Not much going on, although I should be doing things.
Then I think why should I? It still hurts to move. Rolling over is painful, instead of rolling over I sit up, move my pillows to the other side and then lay back down.
One of my friends was telling me when her back was bad instead of rolling over she’d get up, walk around the bed and get in on the other side.
However, my appetite is back and the nausea is gone.
My cat isn’t allowed in the bathroom, and doesn’t usually seem to want to go in there anyway. Our other cat who died last year would often go into the bathroom after someone had had a shower and lick the bathtub tap.
I also don’t let my cat into my bedroom, because I like to keep my bedroom door closed at all times and I don’t want to have to open the door for him, or let him get into mischief in my room. I have to be careful I don’t leave the door even slightly open, or the cat will invite himself in. He doesn’t usually beg to go in my room, though.
Today I went to a couple of stores to pick up a few items, and to the bank.
My dog tries to follow me into the bathroom but it is so tiny there is barely enough room for me. He doesn’t follow me to the upstairs bathroom because he won’t do stairs, but he stands at the bottom staring up until I come back down. When I come back down he gets all wiggly waggy because I’M BACK! Which is a big deal because this is a dog who seldom wags his tail.
I should get some lunch.
Not sure what I want.
Because I watered this morning, it is raining now. Naturally…
I ran some errands - stopped at the store to pick up my check - they want me to make more crab towels. I guess I should be charging more for them. And I got 'maters, cukes, a cantaloupe, and some corn. Healthy supper tonight!! Plus ice cream - so dessert!!
Guess I should get to the towels - I promised I’d deliver them by the end of the week.
Allie seems to think peeing is a social event, too, at least with me (she doesn’t do that to DH). If I head for the bathroom her litterbox is in (we do have two bathrooms), she’ll very frequently come in with me, then hop into her box and use it while I’m using the people equivalent. Odd cat.
Day off, don’t have a lot planned other than laundry (ugh). Dishwasher is currently doing its thing.

My Lucky Louie will often come into the bathroom when I get out of the shower and lick bathwater off my feet and lower legs. Silly boy.
Hence the term, “Copy Cat”.
My dogs follow me into the bathroom whenever I have some, uh, ‘thinking’ to do. Their theory is if I am confined to the porcelain throne, then there is no reason I should not be skritching their butts at the same time.
For those of you potentially grossed out by the idea of skritching a dog’s butt, the definition is scratching that spot ABOVE the tail where it connects to their back, that they can never reach on their own. Hitting that spot is the mark of a true dog person.
