Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 60 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 73 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse for the day. I am inclined to believe TWPTB as last night was definitely rain/tstorms/apocalypse. Severe tstorm warnin’s all over the place all night long along with huge lightnin’, hail, and lots of rain. If that were not enough, we had two tornado warnin’s to boot. :eek: Right now we are under severe tstorm and tornado watches. The worst was from around midnight until a little after two. We were up watchin’ local weather and once took cover for about fifteen minutes in the master bedroom walk in closet. Went back to sleep and another band of bad weather came through but we did not even know it happened. No damage has been reported fortunately.
Plans for the day include deheathenization, N.O.L. (probably grab a burger), and nappage.
CupCakes I did indeed see that. Flytrap just can’t handle a good cheese parody.

I think I woke just one time during the night, and I didn’t get up till after 7 this morning!! I count that as a win. We had some rain overnight, and more is promised this afternoon, tonight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night - no apocalypse, tho, as far as I can determine from the forecast site. I doubt that we’ll leave the house today.
**FCD **will watch football. I’ll work on the afghan. Somewhere in there, I’ll feed us. That’ll pretty much be it.

Thank y’all for the birthday wishes. 
I had my celebration yesterday. The Irish and I went to Early Girl for their seasonal vegan chili which was wonderful. I think my next batch of chili will have tempeh in it if I can find any that’s reasonably priced. We also went to the soap store where I got my yearly supply (3 bars–they last forever) and Seasonal got a couple for herself as well.
Speaking of reasonably priced I found out the credit union has a limit on how much I can spend in a day. The ransom for Polly Subaru was beyond that. I had to call them and confirm my identity before my card would authorize. But now she runs and she steers so much better. 
Next up: the head gasket! :eek:
From the amount of phone-blowing-up between my sisters yesterday it looks like someone’s interested in renting (and repairing) Dad’s house.

I find it hilarious that on most mornings, Taz crawls under the covers on FCD’s side of the bed to have his nap. I just went in to shower, and there was the feline lump. Silly kitteh!
I’m dressed to slug around the house - sweats, slippers, and a shirt that I really like but it’s too ratty to wear in public. I’m comfy.

Howdy Y’all! All deheathenated and have had N.O.L. Tornadoes touched down in a couple of counties southeast of here. Eleven confirmed dead with possibly more. 
'Tis awful out and likely to be more severe weather before the day is over. Glad to be in da cave right now.

It’s a lazy day here at the compound. Toilets and showers are indeed draining. (for now)
Ima go to the store in a little bit when Wifey goes to have her toes done.

Swampy, perhaps you should build a tornado/bomb shelter? That would be fun.
We’re supposed to have rain tomorrow and then 4 or 5 not-rainy days around here.

Bar-of-soap-sized. They’re really hard and they don’t get squishy in the shower like Ivory or Dial or those kinds of soaps do.
Just did my good deed for the day - ironed 5 shorts for FCD. He did it last time, but he hates to iron and he does a lousy job. I did all 5 in less than an hour, including time to get out the iron and ironing board and put them away again. Go me.
Eek. Also :eek: I hate tornadoes. Take care!
Big fish died. He was looking poorly before I moved him, so it’s on me for waiting so long. I feel badly. My son is sad. Oh well. (Never name fish.) After a suitable mourning period, replacements shall be sought.
Other than that, the re-fi has been submitted and laundry is being done. Such is life at Case de mi.
Ribs are good.
I can’t stay awake today for some reason so napping has occurred off and on. Since I can’t stay awake nothing much has been accomplished.
Lazy day here.
I saved a great big gold fish once. It was a huge fish, belonged to one of my clients. She had me over every week day to let her old grey hound out. She had a bit of a nasty cat too, her cat hated women and quite often he’d get between me and the door and growl at me when I was trying to leave.
Anyway, one day I get there and I glance at the fish tank and something doesn’t look right.
I take a closer look and I can see the poor fishy’s head and eyeball and nothing else. The eye was frantically going back and forth, as the poor fish had swum into one of the ornaments (a big urn type thing) and had gotten stuck.
So I fished him (her?) out and grabbed him by the tail to pull him out which resulted in him losing a few scales. I thought that probably wasn’t a good thing, can a fish live without scales? And it had to hurt. I dropped him back into the tank and went to get a butter knife and used the handle to crack open the urn.
The fish lived, despite having a few bald spots.

Thunderstorm woke me up at 0530 and it is raining hard outside right now. And the first football game was not entertaining (curb stomps seldom are), but I have hopes for game 2.
