Posting strictly to say, “First on page 3!”
Dear Mr. Bear,
tbhttthbhthbhththttbhtttt!!!
That is exactly where my mind went as well. :smack:
I am having too much fun watching the confirmation hearings. I’m sensing a lot of pent up frustrations.
Well, I’ll be third on three. Dinner was buffet at Golden Corral, where I over-indulged as usual. Bedtime will be earlier than normal, I expect.
Turns out I was stupid and it cost me $200. The flight reservation I made from Huntsville to Chicago for my vacation was booked for 25 MAY, not 26 JUNE and the change cost damn near as much as the original ticket did. Dumbth. Beats spending a month in Chicago, I guess.
On next-to-last book of my Schlock Mercenary annual re-read. It is a webcomic that has published daily for almost 17 years and I follow it more diligently than any newspaper comic. Here’s a sample page if you’re curious: http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2004-09-13
There is a strange magic to their songs.
Now I can’t get it out of my head, you Evil Woman, you!
I worked. I came home. It took an extra ten minutes to have a beer, because Alex Catt wanted skritches.
I’m tailgating instead. And feel better!
BigKitty ,$3k? I only paid $3200 for the truck. But I probably put that much into it in repairs…
I do the Cool Hand one well enough that some of my fellow associates bribe me with cookies --------- “C’mon - say it just once. Please?”
Class went well. Two were repeat offenders (previous employees returning) and both complimented me on doing a terrific job ----- better than the people who did it the first time they hired on. That felt good.
I irked until 5 then an hour commute after stopping for my medicine. I may or may not irk tomorrow but if I can I will drag in. I came home and stripped the bed and got the bedclothes going, folded a ton of already clean laundry and washed almost all the other dirty laundry, folded all the easy stuff, cooked sketties and cleaned up the mess. I is tahred. I have just now stopped to surf and check in with all of you.
I also rotated the bed since flipping the mattress is a thing of the past with the new fangled one sided mattresses. I just rotate the entire bed and I am not picky about a head and foot so right now it is sideways
I did not get the joke **Spidey or Sunny ** please splain. Re the one about the legs and arms. And that was too funny Red bout Swampys twosome. When the cat is away the mouse will play.
**swampy ** 26 miles round trip to the church house? Major props for your dedication and service to that church. You are a good man Bear.
I know I missed something I wanted to comment on but I am fuzzy headed but will watch the links tomorrow if’n I don’t go to irk. Kopek you studied and prepared for the presentation off the clock? That is just wrong. I had my teenage clerk come in today to sign a training roster showing she completed Active Shooter training and I put her in for two hours which is standard at my job. Ain’t nobody got no time for irk for free.
My new iPad arrived today and I didn’t even bother with it yet. It takes a little setting up which will happen when it happens.

MetalMouse, today’s joy of photocopiers…after some discussion with the new supplier about the lift in our building, we sent a photo of the narrow spiral staircase. They are now pretty sure they won’t be able to use their stairwalker device to get the machines up two floors on this particular staircase. This is what it looks like: Ashley Building Staircase and this is the view looking up from the centre of the foyer
Feel better, sickies - and don’t be coming in here with yer germs!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis a very foggy 52 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 76 and mostly cloudy for the day with rain comin’ in tonight. We shall see. Today laundry shall be accomplished. Other than that no biggie plans.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I shall purtify up a bit and begin laundry. First up, bed linens.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
Polly was $5K. I told her that the 25-year-old Honda on the other side of the driveway is what she should aspire to be (with the addition of a working starter, of course.)
Today is meeting day. At 10, we’re gathering to discuss drawing standards and stuff like that. We have a document in a common folder where we were invited to put stuff - I started the list and others added to it. I’m hoping to get some resolution on several issues. I’d also like it if we adhered to a written standard rather than “We’ve always done it like this…”
I woke in the middle of the night soaked in sweat, but I don’t know why. I even checked to make sure the electric blanket wasn’t on (it wasn’t.) Naturally, the rest of the night was semi-sleepless. ugh.
While I was getting dressed and before **FCD **dragged his carcass into the shower, he told me he had an earworm overnight - Fuzzy Wuzzy, of all things! Then after he was showered and dressed, in jeans and a black-and-red plaid shirt, he started singing “I’m a lumber jack and I’m OK…” Yep, I married a crazy person.
Speaking of crazy, Happy Last Day For A While With A Sane President…
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. I’m off today, so I shall do errands, then clean.
Rory the Grand Cherokee is 19 this year. But the starter is 2.
Maybe it was that dream where Flytrap came to visit and wouldn’t leave?
But is his hovercraft full of eel?
Don’t blame me, I voted for Kodos.
Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear
Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair
Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn’t very fuzzy was he?
Blurf I had about two hours of sleep, if that. So with that, I have decided to stay home. Dr’s orders after all.

Mine is more the Smith version from back in the 60s/70s but sometimes my ear worm is the beginning of

Happy Thorsday!
It’s a cloudy 44 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 52.
Another rough morning. I woke at 4 and couldn’t get back to sleep. Around 5 the dog woke up and he wasn’t doing so well, stumbling around, walking into things, restless, panting, and very confused.
I really thought we’d be taking him in to have him put to sleep today.
He finally settled down and went back to sleep. Now he’s back to normal, or what is normal for him.
I’m glad I saved his old beat up blankie. I gave it to him this morning and he’s curled up with it now. The new one is ready to go into the dryer.
The cat is making me crazy, he wants treats and he wants them now! I told him when he runs out, that is it, I’m not buying anymore. I also told him if he scratches me one more time I am going to get the pliers and pull his claws out one by one.
I think he doesn’t believe me.
Amazon should be delivering his treats tomorrow.
I need to do some laundry today.
Don’t know if I will, but I need to.
I’ll make chicken later to use up the leftover sauce from the meatballs.
Right now I need a nap.
His version is

in a North Pole barber chair.
Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn’t fuzzy, was he?
Our one hour meeting lasted nearly 2 hours. Some good stuff came out of it, and some confusion. Not that I care much - most affects the engineers. I just draw pictures.
Now, 3 hours to go…
Watching the billionaire banker confirmation hearing for Treasury :smack::smack::smack::smack::smack:
We are screwed!
At least he is mildly qualified unlike the Education Secretary!
We have lived through other Republican administrations, and we will make it through this one.
