Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 62 Amurrkin out and foggy with a predicted high of 78 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon, tonight, tomorrow, tomorrow night and Sunday. We shall see. We did get some rain overnight. I need to do some errands this mornin’ and then I shall be a bear who N.O.L. and meet a friend at a good home style cookin’ place in da burg. Dindin shall be majik intartoobz pizza. This looks to be a good weekend to be inside and dry.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I must purtify before goin’ out to meet my adorin’ public.
Blurf I got about 5 anna half hours sleep so feel almost normal so far today. I have to do payroll today and go buy a load of beer for a Luau at irk. I don’t know if’n I will make it a full day or not.

TGIF! It started off annoying - both ATMs at the Leonardtown branch of the credit union were down so I had to make a long detour to get some cash. But I’m here and I’ve had my pizza and I’m caffeinating. And in less than 9 hours, I can go home!
We’re going to see Rogue One this weekend. My other big weekend plan involves changing the sheets on our bed. Yes, we have a wild, exciting life at FairyChatEstates. And since I finished the lap robe last night, I’m going to sort thru the yarn stash and decided what to make next. I’ll use it all up yet!!!
Today I take Polly to the Fixit Shop. I’m going to get a loaner car so I won’t be stuck at the house over the weekend.
Today the plumbers are coming in to do plumbing things downstairs. They’re replacing the hot water heater which, thanks to the power of magic, is three years older than the house.
Sometime this weekend we’re all going into Tourist Trap to get a bowl of vegan chili for my birthday. Irish Storyteller was talking up the vegan chili when we went to the Olde Asheville Restaurant, but we were there in the fall and the chili is a seasonal item only available in winter. Aren’t they lucky I was born in the winter?
Rained all day yesterday, so nothing to report. Firday is also shaping up to be a quite one (I refuse to watch any of the goings-on in Washington). Bills are paid for the month and will have to do a little shopping this weekend as supplies are starting to run low.

I think I’m awake; I’m not totally sure about that. My sinuses went nuts last night and my sleep was not up to par. May just have to use the Old Folks Solution To Everything and have a nap before I go to work.

When I turned on the news at 5 this morning, the crew was on location at one of the access points, and there were people waiting in line there - some who’d been there since midnight!!!

The dog is better. I ordered some soft chews for ODS (Old Dog Syndrome), we’ll see if they help. I’d try some fish oil too if I could figure out a way to get it into him. Pilling him won’t work, he screams like he is being killed. I’m not going to stress him that way. The pills are too big to hide in treats. I’m going to try breaking them into a little cat food, he sure loves canned cat food. Not good for him but the vet said a little won’t hurt him.
I hate when he has his little spells, but then he gets over them and goes back to normal. Each time though, I think it’s time to put him down.
He’ll be 16 in July if he makes it that far.
I didn’t sleep well last night. I woke up around 3 and Sah-son asked me since I was up to proof-read his assignment for him. Major panic when I couldn’t find it and he thought I had deleted it. He finally found it. He had downloaded the questions but they went into *One Note *instead of Word. At least it worked, I’ve downloaded stuff only to find out I can’t read it. PITA for sure. He’s been having trouble with Moodle too. Usually I can figure it out, but this time I was totally lost and he figured it out.
I think he learned his lesson about procrastinating last semester, he’s trying to work ahead.
Weird dream too, I was playing a friendly game of chess with Jesus. He asked me what I wanted if I won and I said don’t I get three wishes? He said I’m Jesus, not a genie. I couldn’t think of anything I wanted.
Of course now that I’m awake…

Major blurfage At irk. I am getting stuff done and putting out fires. Waiting on the girl to come so I can get this beer purchase done. After that I may skedaddle early. I have a ton of sick leave and that is what it’s for. still puny. I am wearing all black today as a signal of my disapproval of the situation in Washington.

My fitbit says I slept 5 hrs & 27 min last night. Dogs woke me up twice for various doggy emergencies. The suspicion that there might be an uninvited critter under the house is a doggy emergency, ya know. :dubious: It’s a good thing I love the little miscreants.
I was able to get the ancient pickup started and took it to get gassed. I know you all were worried about that.
When I was out and about yesterday I noticed new signs in the new little strip mall for Cold Stone Creamery and Blimpies Subs. Today I shall go investigate.
I have apps for my local TV stations news on my iphone and one of the stations keeps sending me messages wanting me to tune in and watch the fall of civilization as we know it. I may have to delete their app.
Tonight I’m gonna have a go at Caldo Verde (Portuguese green soup). I’ve never done it before but it looks fairly simple. A lot simpler than zuppa tuscana anyway, which is our go-to potato soup around here.

It doesn’t look like I’ll be out of here too early today. That’s ok, as it’s a rainy day. Last night, it came down really hard and the areas where the topsoil is thinnest in the complex (it’s built on rock) had puddles where water is realllllly slow to drain.
My big exciting weekend plans are the usual grocery shopping, lunch with SIL and niece tomorrow and brunch/ packing backpacks for the homeless with the heathens Sunday.
Today I shall go investigate.
