In my 11th grade English class, we were offered an A for the year if we read either Vanity Fair or War and Peace, wrote a report, and took a test. My teacher said that no one had ever taken him up on the offer.
a chorus mate and her nephew came over this afternoon and cleared out my garage; came up with tons of stuff for the chorus garage sale. Say, Soapy, why not come down to LI on 10/15 - you and Mr Bubble can pick up some great bargains for your new home… 
Chili is simmering away here in about 30 mins I will get the corn bread going. I am starving today after working off my breakfast & lunch by sweating in the garage.
I also have clean sheets…mmmmmmmmm I love clean sheet day!

Golf tourney that day for my daughter’s school.
Lazy day, mostly. Although I, too, made cornbread,which we had with beans on the side. They were yummy. And I’m having them for lunch tomorrow, too.
Napped, knit a bit, and watched some stuff online. Also went for a long walk and then over to DQ for some ice cream.
I’m tired now and planning to get to sleep early. As in now…
