The improvised MMP

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 65 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 86 and a high pollen alert. My nose already knew that.

Hmmm… I wonder if wet hair sex had anything to do with a highway closure. One never knows about this type of phenomena. Since both of us have buzzed hair, wet hair sex is not really sump’n that ever happens.

And now this…

I go in search of more caffiene. OYKW will have the honor of takin’ me to brekkie, lucky him. Acutally he said last night that he wanted to go out for brekkie. So, I shall seek caffiene for a bit and then commence purtification for deheathenization.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Happy Birthday Herbs!!!

Gonna work the Caniac Carnival at the arena today.

Hahahahahaha! Sure it is the hubby

We had a lot of thunderboomers last night with quite the light show at about 9PM last night and then again at 4AM this morning. I am a heavy sleeper but man that went boom right above the house. It was loud and LibbyCat who was stretched out on mr ems side jumped about 4ft in the air. I gave up trying to get back to sleep at 5AM. But I have been productive - folded and put away yesterdays laundry, stripped the sheets and got those laundering away, hung the shoe organiser in the closet and put away scarves and shoes and gloves and things, changed the kitty box, fed the kitty and vacuumed the house. All before 7AM. I need coffee now I think then a shower. Once it is light outside I will get to building garage shelves

Happy Birthday Herbs!!!

Happy Birthday Herbs!

We had a great time celebrating my husband’s birthday with our friends yesterday. They all went in on a video card for his computer. That’s what he wanted and that’s what they gave him. They gave him some other things too; a shirt, a drink glass especially for him, and a bag of candy corn.

See, we always go in on one “big” or group gift. Then, they always, always end up giving extra stuff. Sometimes it’s just little things, sometimes it’s really nice stuff, sometimes it’s gag gifts. All in the spirit of fun.

Anyway, it was fun and I won a hand of 99 and so did my hubby. Considering we played only three rounds, it was a good haul. Now I can buy lunch next week!

It’s raining, wet and gray outside, but caffeination is in progress and I’m inside with the dogs.

Today, we have to go to MiL’s place for dinner. She wants us there at 2:30. Jeesh, every year I swear the “dinner” times get earlier. Pretty soon she’ll want us there at 9:00 in the morning.

Happy birthday, tarra!

And a belated happy birthday to Mr. Taters.

Have been up for a while, making Green Chile Cornbread (who was asking for ideas on what to do with Hatch chiles?). Smells yummy. Will add link on blog later.

Getting ready to go deheathenate. I’m guessing there will be gardening this afternoon. Should do laundry, too.

Hugs all.

GT

Happy Tarra Day!!!

Oddly enough, even tho we didn’t sleep as long last night, both of us slept really well. Even my sweetie was comfy - I’m thinking that dragging the recliner out for him and getting him off the sofa did wonders for his back. He was even walking like a normal person.

We went to breakfast, then to WalMart and Lowe’s. I’ve got a beef stew started and it’s smelling yum. **FCD **wants to work in his shop this afternoon. I don’t know what I’ll do - probably finish bro’s afghan. It’s another dreary, cool day, tho theoretically there will be sun today. We shall see.

Happy Sunday!

Happy birthday, Herbs!!!

Happy Herbs Day!

I will celebrate by doing nothing useful, and watching football all day.

Hippo Birdie two ewe, Herbs!
Sorry I have been so lurky this week, Haven’t felt very good. I hope things improve next week!!

Deheathenated, **N.O.L.**ed and home in my comfys. Or should that be comfies? This here grammar and spellin’ stuff just confounds me.

Now 'tis nappypoo time.

Later Y’all!

Feel better! (to Janis. And well, anyone else who needs!)

So, Soapy, were you able to successfully reproduce the results? (nudge nudge wink wink)

Tussled. Quite.

I’ll publishing my results soon!

Many happy returns on your special day, Herbs!

Not much today. I pulled some muscles cleaning the bathroom yesterday, so I’m taking it easy today. I ducked out at 0-dark-30 and grabbed a ham-egg-n-cheese bagel & croissant for breakfast. I asked if they had lighter fluid (for my Zippo) and the kid behind the counter directed me to where they might keep charcoal lighter fluid. It wasn’t until my girlfriend called later and told me the kid probably doesn’t know about Zippos that I realized I should’ve asked for Zippo lighter fluid. Oh well. I’ll duck out in a few here and grab some at the smoke shop in Bloomfield (or Bloomfilled as it’s called) and then grab a Mickey D’s supper. Traffic will be zip as the whole town shuts down when a Stillers game is on.

Thanks for all the happy birthday wishes all. It’s been a wonderful day so far. My daughter is fixing my choice for dinner tonight: lobster tail and steak (surf -and- turf!). It’s less expensive than going out, believe it or not.

It’s been relatively quiet. They do have some terrific thunderstorms in Albuquerque though, I’m telling you! It doesn’t rain for long, nor does the wetness last long. We’ve had some storms where the thunder has scared me, it’s been so loud. The lightning is spectactular as well. And the skies when it gets stormy? Boy, they are something to behold!

So yes, it’s safe to say that I am enjoying Albuquerque and my retirement. Thanks again for all the good wishes.

Happy birthday, herbs!

Happy Birthday Herbs!!!

Today has been a good day. The open house at UConn was very nice. The weather was perfect for a walk around a country college campus. I found out the hard way that the Dairy Bar doesn’t believe in small ice cream scoops. It felt a bit sacriligous to throw away the cone and second scoop but it had to be done. I am lactose intolerant after all.

I met one of my (hopefully) future professors at the Pathobiology presentation. He was very nice and remembered my unusual name and how to pronounce it after only hearing it once. He confirmed for me that this major really is the best preparation for the grad program I want. Even if I decide against grad school, this major will prepare me best for the kind of job I’d want.

I am so glad that I’m not a teenager any more. Some of the parents I saw today seemed very determined to make their kids major in what they (the parents) wanted and not what the kid wanted. My mom would never do that but I’m still glad I’m older now.

We ate at the restaurant in the student union. Squash bisque…heavenly. To top it all off, I found a wicked comfy pair of sweats on sale for $14.

My sweetie had a good time too and while he didn’t enjoy seeing the jars of organs, he did enjoy the technology in the Patho building (he’s an engineer so he likes machines). He wanted to play with one of the centrifuges.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope we work out the transportation issue because I want to go there more than ever now. I know that I could major in Bio at any school but I seriously want to be in Pathobiology. It’s everything I’ve always wanted in a college education.

Busy day busy day - Shelves are constructed and garage is organised. I feel cleansed.

I found the stakes for my pathway lights but only 2 of the lights so I will have mr ems look in the loft next weekend to find the other 2 in the couple of boxes that are up there. I have also hung a couple more of my inside wind chimes (not so much wind chimes as decorative cascading thingies) and sorted out the kitchen cabinets so that all the canned goods are on the shelves in the garage next to the door. I have sorted out the solar lights in the back yard as well as hung the string lights around the windows on the patio. Next thing to do - make chili and cornbread for supper.

mr ems called about 20 mins ago he is headed home. Yay!

I may have some extra data for you soapy tomorrow!

Happy Happy Birthday herbs!

Another yummerrific batch of veggie beef soup/stew has been built and partially eaten. I’ve got a big ziplock bag full for the freezer, plus a couple more servings in the fridge. And I had a small loaf of french bread in the freezer, so a few seconds of nuking, and was had a really good meal.

I just finished watching Vanity Fair on Netflix. I think I’m going to have to read it now. Oddly enough, it was never assigned in any of the English classes I took. I’m also just about done with the afghanasaurus. 6 more rows plus a bunch of tassles, and it’ll be ready to go. Then I can look or another project.

It’s been a good day. Mostly lazy…

But I think I might be in need of some ice cream.
