Is it just me or is the message board particularly jumping right now? I have never seen so many hot and interesting topics in so many different forums before.

I’m having a hard time keeping up with reading the limited submissions I’m interested in and haven’t read additional threads “just because I’m bored” in a couple of weeks. Someone mentioned recently the jump in membership that happens right after the holidays and I think this might be one reason. But topics have really been interesting lately and the board has been particularly lively.

Anyone agree? Disagree.

Funny, I was thinking just last night that there weren’t as many interesting threads these days as in the past. YMMV, I guess.

My pattern is to start out in GQ, jump to CS, then IMHO, maybe MPSIMS, the Pit, GD, and only occasionally the other three. I spend most time in GQ, CS, and the Pit.

I rarely post in GD because most people there are impressively well-informed (or complete assholes), and you have to be pretty damn sure of yourself (or a complete asshole) to survive there.

Agreed. It was a very slow weekend and Monday’s been pretty slow as well.

Now a few weeks ago, then the site was jumping.

What, in general, did you find so much more interesting a few weeks ago? Was it the presence of particular topics, the variety of topics or the amount of posting going on? Just curious.

I guess it was one week ago. There were multiple Family Feud games going. And CS had a bunch of good movie/music talk (the Amy Winehouse thread in particular).

Oh, and TAR ended, so the last two threads were good.

It’s been pretty dull for me for a while. A couple days here and there are particularly interesting but the SDMB’s not really engaged me for months.

I get that way too and have recently. I spend a lot of time here and that’s why I like that there are so many topics going that’s I’m interested in reading/contributing to that there’s a surfeit of the Doperness available!
