Shoot. It was a room full of engineers. They knew we’d ask. They were engineers, too.

a slide came up of an adorable basset hound puppy - all ears and sad eyes - with a gun held to its head. It read: *“Stay awake or the dog dies!” *
[/QUOTE]
I work with someone who needs to use that. Mainframe security is a painfully dry subject to begin with, and they have a rather soft and faint monotone voice that fades and drifts away. Making it worse, my dealings with them have always been by phone, so staying awake is a challenge.
Except that those aren’t vegetables.
My venture into baking with Splenda went pretty decently. Of two loaves of cinnamon bread, a half loaf remains in the fridge. This was made yesterday.
Attempt #2 on this recipe. The first attempt didn’t rise properly, but it was easy enough to trace the error on my part (thought the elderly milk I was using was sour enough to react properly with the baking powder for leavening, but I was mistaken) and correct it (actually used what the recipe specified this time).
Baked goods made with Splenda don’t brown normally, but otherwise come out fine, based on this experiment. Good news for my pet diabetic.
Got another response from the sugar daddy site. I’m tempted to spend the 20 bucks so I can message them without the site mods looking over my shoulder.
Irk irk irk and more irk
At least the lines are busy so I’m not bored.
Talked to the realtor today.
See where things are going.
Howdy Y’all! Irked, came home, heated up leftover sketties and meatballs, went to Evening Prayer over to the church house, Slackolyted, home again and tahrd! Read but didn’t retain much so…
YAYS, BOOS, HUGS, GROPES, TROUTS, CHITLINS, SRI LANKAN SPIDERS, HOW YOU DOIN’S AS NEEDED.
Ima go nitey nite. Nitey Nite Y’all!
I was in a lot of pain today. Just the usual, ahem, monthly pains. It felt like wolves were ripping apart my insides, but it got better. Thanks to painkillers, caffeine, music, and friends.
I shared this joke in another thread, and in the spirit of ticking people off:
A cowboy is riding across the prairie as night falls. Seeking a place to spend the night, he sees a fire.
An Indian, with a horse, dog and a sheep is cooking over the fire. He offers the cowboy dinner.
The cowboy, who is a skilled ventriloquist, reflects that he should offer something in return for the Indians food and offer to sleep by his fire, and decides that he will entertain him with his skill.
“May I speak to your horse?” he asks.
“You want to talk to my horse?” Okay, White guys are crazy. “Sure, go ahead”.
Cowboy: “What’s it like to be his horse?”
Horse: “It’s great! He doesn’t ride me to hard, and he combs me every night before he goes to sleep!”
The Indian is impressed.
“May I speak to your dog?”
“Sure, sure!”
Cowboy: “What is it like to be his dog?”
Dog: “Oh, It’s great! We going hunting, and I get to eat part of what I track and he kills! He feeds me before he eats his own dinner!”
The Indian is getting off on this.
“May I speak to your sheep?”
“Sheep lie.”
If we’re doing dumb or silly jokes…
An actor walks into a bar, and says “Can we get some glow tape on this thing?”
I get to leave early tomorrow. so I can drive for an hour, to attend a 3 hour meeting, run by my soon(but not soon enough) to retire DM.
: wails, gnashes teeth, dons sackcloth and ashes :
A horse walks into a bar. The bartender asks, “Hey, why the long face?”
When the cat is away the mouse will play. My play consists of eating what I want, when I want or not at all. Staying up until I get ready to call it a night.
I do not like to be told what to do.
Hubster is coming home tomorrow and my little vacation from him ends.
I can’t wait to see him so I can get some damn sleep.
Happy Thorsday!
It’s 12 degrees above freezing.
Is it gravitational pull?
or that life sucks
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin. YAWN ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 72 and rain. It’s drizzlin’ rain as I post even. We’re supposed to be havin’ temps into the high 80s by now but we have a cool front hangin’ around. Sattidy’s pool plans are no longer as it’s supposed to be 70 Amurrkin with rain and tstorms. We shall, however, do the fish fry late Sattidy afternoon.
flytrap, gotti and doggio HEE!
Ok, that’s all I got. Need more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. Today should be less intense than the past three day so there’s that.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
Greetings from FairyChatMom’s Mom’s Estate! It’s a freekin’ 37° at the moment! I’m glad I packed sweats for working in the yard - I almost packed shorts. My youngest sis is here with her 3 dogs - two of them are psycho, the 3rd, the greyhound rescue, is a big baby.
The ride up here last night wasn’t bad, except it was the first time in ages that I was driving at night. All I can say is I’m glad I knew where I was going. My night vision ain’t all that any longer. And the traffic was mostly light, so that helped. I’ll definitely be home today long before dark.
This morning, we’ll fill my little car with growing things. At 1, after a shower and clean clothes, I’m heading to White Marsh to lunch with an old friend. When she and I are done, it’s on the House of Tropicals for fish stuff, then home. Busy day ahead.

Morning all,
Thanks for all the suggestions to make my 73 page (yes really) training presentation and 40 tab (really, really) spreadsheet more exciting. I giggled muchly. BUT I works for the guberm’t and they tend to only have a sense of humor when they have budgeted for it and we all know how well that is going .
In other more exciting news…quick someone tell me something more exciting!
Laaazy blurf.
It’s sunny, and I don’t have much to do today- craftin’, shoppin’ and maybe sittin’ in the sun if I can take the pressure
