Seems like a perfectly normal Christian to me–he sees shit that isn’t there, tells himself all kinds of tales to justify his irrational beliefs, and doesn’t give a crap what anyone tells him about his beliefs and how little sense they make.
I’ve pitted kanic once or twice, but no longer, and not simply because of my general distaste for the Pit. I used to think him a troll, but now I think he’s simply mentally unwell. Pitting him seems … I don’t know, unkind. More than anything else, I hope he somehow gets help.
People certainly made fun of Oral Roberts and his 900 Foot Tall Jesus. And his “Send me money or God will call me home” campaign resulted in a Send Oral to Heaven in '87 bumper sticker being popular in Oklahoma, I understand.

I disagree: he doesn’t really remind me of the rational or the irrational Christians I’ve known. He’s got his own, unique point of view and version of reality.
He’s one of the neighbourhood crazies: he adds nothing directly but sometimes kicks threads off that go in interesting directions. I don’t read his posts or anyone responding to him though.
Yeah, really – when he begins expounding on his beliefs there’s a whole lot of terminology from Christianity but the way it’s assembled together is sometimes… just… odd.
However, his having inspired that line from **A Monkey with a Gun **does have to go to his credit. Brilliant, AMwaG.

You’re right, Michael was the one who intervened the other time that he was pulled over for drunk driving. You know, when the angel took control of his car, causing it to run over the cop multiple times, then compelled him to get out and put the body in the trunk, and then ditch the car in lake. And during the walk home suggested he stop by a strip club and get some lap dances from the sweet innocent children.
Truly miraculous.

What’s strange with Kanicbird is that his posts in threads not related to religion not only make sense but also contain useful info. And based on his replies I guess he has some engineering background. Taking into account only these posts I would say kanicbird is a fun and knowledgeable guy.
On the other hand the posts on religion contain all kinds of crazy. It is like they are written by two different persons. Either he is a very good troll or he has some serious brain condition.
His christian terminology is definitely odd. I’ve never seen him as a typical christian, more of a new age one. But being “raped by demons” and claiming it’s true is… schizophrenic? Of course, whenever I hear someone “took Jesus into their heart and felt his presence” I think of schizophrenia too.
Well, I don’t know what kind of religious people YOU know, but I’ve never had a priest tell me he was raped by demons and that an angel saved him from being arrested for DUI. In fact, he’d probably have looked at me like I was crazy. At least if I told him it was LITERAL. Most priests and nuns I knew were sane and didn’t pull this kind of shit.
He does sound mentally ill to me. I would not be surprised to learn that alcohol is to blame for some of the more out there posts.
I hope he never hurts anyone through driving while impaired. I also hope he gets better.
