Very strange for January. I thought this winter was going to be cold.
We still have a ways to go though, February could be brutal.
Mostly irking today.

Done the laundry, got groceries, now assiduously avoiding skool irk.
I’ll do some in a bit, but I’m not feeling very imaginative, and I need to be to do a decent job. It’s not due in 'til the 26th anyway.

Up, caffeinating and fixing to purtify to gou out in public. I still have to pick up prescriptions, so I’ll be out of the house some today.
Groceries have been procured and stowed. I just boiled some eggs, and when the timer beeps, I shall peel them. I also stuck a poke roast in the small crock pot - we’ll have some kind of poke for supper.

The pregame brunch was leftover green tea rice with peas, mushrooms, and Five spice bacon, and topped with fried eggs with shichimi togarashi.

I hate hate hate styrofoam. I ordered two cheap floor lamps from WalMart and assembled them but now there is the dreaded styrofoam to deal with. I got them together in under five minutes each. I preach to my customers at irk about the horrors of styrofoam as it never decomposes and is detrimental to the ocean. Those styrofoam coolers should be banned IMO.
Hubs made it to his son’s home about an hour below Atlanta. He said it’s in the 60’s there but still chilly to we thin blooded peeps.
My sister found her domestic partner dead a week ago today. They were married at one point. He was 64. He retired early and sat in the recliner and basically drank himself to death. Turns out he was loaded in money. He left her a sizable insurance policy, some stock in oil and gas and his pension which is a smidge under $5K a month. I thought she may actually wind up living here but he took care of her. His family are being asses and she must vacate the house immediately. He left the house and other tangibles to his boys from a prior marriage. So until everything is settled she is in limbo and as she found him she is very emotional. His family on the other hand just want all the stuff and money.
I hate people sometimes except you lot.
People are crazy.
I was talking to somebody the other day who is fighting with siblings over the estate of their brother… who’s not dead yet.
I hope the brother outlives all of them.
Since he has children, I would assume he is leaving everything to them anyway.
Not getting as much done as I had hoped. It’s hard when Ripple wants to play and I feel guilty if I don’t. If it wasn’t so breezy I’d sit outside with him, but the breeze makes it a bit too chilly to be comfortable.
I have a new tenant. He was living at his Mother’s house, and she died.
She had a reverse mortgage, and he was out in the cold.
That fellates with the greatest alacrity.
Howdy y’all! I am posting from phone again. We deheathenated, had brunch and achieved nappage. Looks like puter’s hard drive maybe fried. Don’t know what I’ll do about that yet. Take it to the doctor maybe? I shall be around as much as I can until I figure it all out.

On other news dinner was kielbasa and kraut which combined with the leftover Mexican food I had for lunch means tomorrow is not the day to be unloading 53’ trailers with me.

I am so sleepy. It’s way too early to go to bed. I am watching mindless TV to pass the time. I miss my hubby. I shall finish off the lasagna for supper here is a few minutes. I need to fold a load of laundry and shower so I can be ready to go back to irk in the morning. I will be doing 4-6 hour days this week. That combined with commute time will be just about right. I don’t want my boy suffering. He will hold it even though it would be OK if he didn’t as we have easily cleaned tile floors.

sari, when my brother passed, his daughter from his first marriage demanded that his second wife sell the house pronto so she could get her share of the inheritance. Thing was, Bro had had heart problems for years, so to qualify for a mortgage, the house was in his wife’s name (she was actually the primary breadwinner) and he had two minor children. There was no estate for her to get.
swampy, check your local computer shops for free diagnostics. If it is your harddrive, try to find a refurb in CL. I lucked out when I bought my current desktop from a guy who purchased lots from a local university’s game design department and refurbished them. ~Six years ago, I gave $75 for mine. I just spent $70 to put in a new power supply, but it has still been a cost efficient thing to keep going.
I picked up the prescriptions, took Nelson to the dog park (he got to run with the corgis 
). I made Persian meatballs, rice and a nice cucumber tomato fresh mint salad for supper.
