While not a strict rule, it’s also considered poor form to open a Pit thread when the Pittee is unable to respond.
Perhaps wait until after the suspension is concluded?
@miller almost always closes Pit threads for posters with 30 day suspensions, though shorter ones may or may not draw such consideration.
But @Great_Antibob is correct, it’s absolutely bad form. Especially if they’re taking the time to actually reconsider, we can avoid putting them on the defensive, or make them double down as “they’re all out to get me”.
