Yes, the Rifftrax for the horrible teenybopper soap-opera-sparklepire-movie “Twilight” is now out, and there was much rejoycing!
the only downside is I had to rent Twilight…
This was a great riff, the Bella-Worship, the Cullen-Cultism, the awkward pauses, “longing” glances (which looked more like the actors were simply constipated) the lack of conforming to vampire lore, the improbability of Vampire Baseball, and the Wire-Fu scenes in the Bamboo fore…err Pine forest ripped from Crouching Bella Hidden Vampir…no, sorry, wrong movie… it was all eloquently skewered, and skewered quite mercilessly by Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett, this was an excellent rifftrax, the film, well, the film doesn’t even rate a halfhearted “meh”
as an added side bonus, the Rifftrax should also piss off the mindless thronging obsessive cult of Twitards
I mean, c’mon, the aforementioned forest of pine trees were less wooden than the two main “leads”
Bella’s emotional range rivals that of Wanda Sachnusen (from the “Alien from L.A.” MST3K experiment), like Wanda, fully 99 44/100ths of this film has Bella emoting an expression of “Dull Surprise!”
If you’re the unfortunate owner of the Twilight DVD, or you know someone who is, then you need this Rifftrax, your sanity depends on it!
