I’ve been thinking about that, too, since clearly (in retrospect) saying either was a mistake. But consider how long it took us to figure that out, and then consider that Jimmy made his decision in an hour or less. It’s a reasonable mistake, I think.
In regards to the cardinal lynch, I don’t claim to have been certain he was Scum. The reason I voted for him was not that he was certain to be Scum, but because even if he wasn’t, we’d still have a very good chance of winning.
And it looks like folks in here picked up on my wondering, earlier in the game, whether vanillas had names, even if nobody in the game thread noticed it. I said that with the hope that the Scum would think I was a power role and night-kill me, since if they’re going to NK someone, it might as well be a vanilla. It wasn’t a strategy I was looking to pursue too heavily, but I figured a single post was worth a try.
I noticed that in-game, but didn’t want to say anything cause I didn’t know if it was a scum or power-role tell. (Turned out to be neither, both for you and Oredigger. Go figure.)
I was hoping he’d post a defense just because i wondered what was going on in his head post cardinal coming up town and the game continuing.
It looks like attention to this game really fell off at the end. tis a pity, i was curious whether anyone would seriously question the 4 scum hypothesis. I’ll read over the full thread later.
To be fair, I simply forgot I had a name. So when it was suggested vanilla’s didn’t have names and I didn’t remember that I had one it seemed a reasonable assumption. There was no play on my part just simple forgetfulness.
