What’s the over-under on the number of people who get them confused?
The damn threads look too much alike!
We had that problem with Crimsons Glyph.
I put “The” at the beginning of this thread to make it at least somewhat clearer.
It’s not your fault, I should have been paying closer attention. I think I edited the post out before anyone saw it.
And who could have predicted that Meeko would continue to play his own game, apparently uninfluenced by anything going on around him?
*raises hand
The Crimson Glyph was the first time I had a thread available to me and really avoided using it. Also, I was somewhat glad to be killed. Not in the usual sense because I may have allowed a more powerful role to live another Day, but because it put me out of my mason thread misery.
He is being pretty blatant, isn’t he? I really hope someone catches him on that, and this doesn’t get derailed into a Meeko/Scuba/Jimmy debate or something. I have a feeling Imaginary Fiend is going to get lynched today, though.
Yay! Go Jimmy! Get that light of suspicion shone on Chronos!
I’m having my doubts about AllWalker, as well.
Looks like I. F. is getting off the hook again. Is there a rule that the previous Day lynch runner-up can never get lynched the subsequent Day? We mafia players don’t tend to have long attention spans.
There is no way a scum is going to be lynched today. Town is just making it too easy to manipulate the vote. As long as the leading vote getter remains at 2 or 3, scum can jump on what ever bandwagon they want. Now, you might think scum shouldn’t do such things because it would be suspicious, but just look at Day 1. We had 3 people instrumental in switching the vote from unknown to Town late in the Day. None of the three, nor IF for that matter, are getting looked at too closely now. Does anyone really foresee town going after today’s late Day vote switchers?
I think Town would if there weren’t so many switching so late. As it stands, they can’t all be Scum, and it puts doubt into Town’s mind. So they hesitate and move on to another topic.
But you are right about the short attention spans. Some players are going back and re-reading. Others are just reading or misreading and posting whatever comes into their mind at the moment. I bet there are more than a few who haven’t looked back at all. In fact, when someone brought up past actions and was called on it, another player even questioned what the actual truth was, when all they had to do was go back and look (OK, it was Meeko, but still, it happened)
If I ever mod a game here, someone remind me to build in a Compulsory Vig who has to target Meeko on Day 1.
I predict that if he signs up for the the Malazan game that Naf, Rysto, and I are working on he will be the first to be lynched.
Since there are no town or scum in that one, it starts out as an every man for himself type thing, though alliances will be formed (and pretty much have to be) before the game end.
So no one on has to worry that if they kill Meeko, they’ll be hurting their side.
WiFoM.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Looks possible from storyteller’s last post that Oredigger might have to claim… I wonder if he’s a town power role or a scum. I’m pretty sure he’s one or the other.
Wow, Oredigger didn’t claim. Wonder if that means he’s scum after all. (And if so, if that means Chronos is town, after all.)
WTF is storyteller01 doing? Why hasn’t he voted? This looks scummy as hell, and no one’s calling him on it. It’s too scummy for him to actually be scum, not unless the Others just think the townies in this game are complete idiots (not unlike the actual TV show). I mean, seriously!
And now the board is acting all weird and not updating pages?
No idea. I’ve seen it happen before. And wow, was I ever wrong about Oredigger. Vanilla town after all.
So will they actually lynch Chronos, now?
No, they’ll be diverted by either storyteller or pedescribe, is my guess.
Nah, they won’t lynch Chronos. The runner-up is never lynched the next day. Telcontar was giving more advice to the Vig, which means he is either really passionate about the issue, or he is the Vig. I’d guess the latter. Also, notice how another A list character comes back town.
