Scary thought: what if Meeko is the vig?
That would be beautiful.
Wasn’t there some game where a Vig who mistakenly targeted a townie had to off himself n shame? I thought that was perhaps the standard, and that maybe we didn’t have a Vig on our hands.
I want to add a detective role to my upcoming game.

Well, I played like crap. Oh, well next time I’ll have to make sure I’m in a game that doesn’t have weekend Days. I’m thinking that Pede and Story are scum but I just didn’t have time to build a case against them.
Pedescribe does look pretty skeevy, doesn’t he? I’ve been in denial, because anyone who can get Meeko going after him so hard can’t possibly be scum.
Such Vigs existed in Conspiracy and T2. I believe that there was also such a Vig in Conspiracy II.
The worst I saw was in Alpha Centauri. The vig claimed to be remorseful, had to target themselves, and the Scum had a redirector. We had to waste a lynch on the Vig to prevent duplicate kills.
Ouch! I guess the mod didn’t consider that possibility…

The combination of an outed remorseful Vig and a scum redirector.

Why would an town investigator Storyteller reveal he was blocked?
If it’s a town blocker maybe to get he to block someone else, but reveal he has an power?
I doubt it.
If it’s a scum blocker his earlier claim could be the reason he got blocked twice, but I doubt he would do it in the first place.
The no-kill does suggest either a block or protect, so it is possible there is a scum blocker and a town doctor. Imaginary Fiend turning up town doesn’t help though. I think they are pretty close to LyLo, but haven’t followed it that closely.
I wonder if Meeko runs anagrams on everyone’s posts :).

Oh fer cryin’ out loud. Am I crazy, or is it just screamingly obvious at this point that there’s something hinky with storyteller and Chronos? If there’s a Vig, I hope he chooses wisely tonight.
I agree about Story but I think Chronos is town. For a Day with no night kills before and the lynching of a quiet townie the Day before no one was talking toDay. If they keep this up the town is hosed.
Idea #1 is pretty horrible. I mean, isn’t that basically what happened this past Day? How is town supposed to learn anything if they don’t discuss? “Scum can’t continue their same plan of attack.” What plan? They’ll still night kill, and any lack of incriminating information for town will just benefit them.
Idea #2 isn’t too terribly bad at first glance, but just because town has been wrong in its lynches so far doesn’t mean that there aren’t people out there with votes on their heads that aren’t valid. In fact, if all Others have been voted for at some point, this tactic could be very beneficial for them.
Both ideas are pretty scummy. Actually Meeko makes very good scum, since he makes so much noise that I’m sure these ideas will just be excused as “n00bish”. I don’t think anyone will take them too seriously. I wonder if anyone will vote for him over them toMorrow.

What makes me get pings from Meeko are his constant claims he is town, or worse that everyone knows it fore sure:
Combined with the fact that he attaches ‘WiFoM’ with almost everything else. And Storyteller was one of the first to say ‘based on Meeko’s name claim he must be town’. I know nothing of Lost, the name claim is at most an indication but certainly far from being a confirmed mason he seems to imply it is.
But it might just be a (Meeko) ping. It would need a look at the vote record, especially when some scum get killed, to build a case - but I’m just reading along to put that much effort in it ;).

This game has been interesting, fascinating… but isn’t it obvious that Mahaloth is scum??? I mean, the way he talks it’s almost as if he knows stuff about them…

How am I supposed to tell who is Scum in this game? If they post in orange, is that a Scum tell?
^^Is a breadcrumb, by the way. I mean, I’m vanilla Town and have no idea what is going on, and have no more information than anyone else, but I am breadcrumbing. It is an acronym for Iabbtw, which means Mahaloth is Scum.
So yeah, there’s something about having two L’s in my name.
All right, that was a little rude. But seriously Meeko, “I am a VIP Town”? I don’t know where he comes up with that stuff.

*Proper use of Mafia terms
*Letting go of grudges
*Remembering that this is not Haggle - post count is not proportional to success
*Seriously, are you still going on about “Sinner Bulletproof”? Even if he was right, which he can’t comprehend how wrong he is, he needs to let. It. Go.
*What exactly a valid Scum tell entails
Okay, now that I’ve gotten that out of my system, one of these days (Days?) I’m going to work out how to play Cop. The Scum picked up on my less than subtle hints and rightly killed me for it. I was on the verge of claiming, too.
Oh well, that’ll teach me.
I have an answer for that one. Make no hints. If anything try to drop some hints that you are probably vanilla, then claim as soon as is reasonable. If after 3 Days you have 3 living cleared townies claim then. If at any point you catch scum, claim then. Three living townies or one scum, that’s the threshold (IMO). Also, if there is Night talk allowed, always claim at the end of the Night. Don’t wait for Day when scum might have had a chance to off you.
NAF, that is good advice. It was also my plan, up until people I had confirmed were starting to gain suspicion.
All right, this is really starting to piss me off.
Meeko, since you are not going to let this drop, when you are out of this game we need to have a little chat. In which I will slowly, and carefully, why you are full of crap about the role claim thing in Glyph.
