Home from deheathenization. I did not get elected to the Vestry. Oh well. As I said earlier, we had seven good candidates all of whom would be an asset to the Vestry. I look at it this way, two of the three people I voted for got elected. 
It’s actually sunny out and though cool, really kinda pleasent. I shall enjoy that because we’re lookin’ at low temps in the teens Monday and Tuesday nights with wind chill factors of around zero. ICK!
It wasn’t -40 degrees with the wind chill today, as it has been the past few days. I went out and got stuff done, although I got to the shopping mall 2 hours earlier than the opening of the store I wanted to go to, so I had to kill time and hang around the mall for two hours. It was pretty boring. 
Oh well, at least I got some exercise.
The high tomorrow is 28 American and the low will be 0 with wind chill of around -25 American. The snow is currently gone, but it’s coming back.
I really hope they call me tomorrow night and tell me not to bother coming in Tuesday. I really don’t want to either go out in this mess or have to stay at irk overnight. I don’t have a winterized car because I live in North-By-God Kakalak and we don’t do that kind of thing here.
I bought eggs and TP at the store today, so I’m winterized.
Hi guys. I’ve skimmed. What’s been happening this week?
RT and I are hanging out in Upstate NY waiting for a delivery that he has in the morning. I’ve applied for some jobs, finally, and he’s been fiddling with the computers. That’s about all of the excitement here. I’m glad we’re not in Ohio where the weather sounds brutal but I feel bad for my family.

Yeah, kinda sorta. I wanted to be elected but it is not the end of the world. Suddenly I feel the need to burst into song. I’ve had several calls from people who are upset that I didn’t get voted in. Nice to know I have friends, but like I told them, we have a good, solid Vestry and did elect three very good people today.
I haven’t been practicing the ukulele as much as I want to, because, although the bandage is off my finger, it still hurts a bit. But I try to practice anyway.
I have a day off tomorrow and then back to irk on Tuesday.
Do you think they found out about your almost-nekkid bacon frying??? :eek:
Home, and glad of it. I know my mom wanted the party to be held at the bar, but I really hated it. The room was dark and crowded, the only seats were backless stools, and I just don’t like bars anyway. I did luck out and get a parking space right in front. My sibs were amazed that I paid to park - like I was going to walk several blocks carrying my stuff. My mom parked close by, so it was easy to move the stuff from my trunk to hers, plus she gave me a big tray of cookies that got moved into my trunk. Yay!
The last half-hour of my drive home was tough - I was fighting to keep my eyes open. I’s tahred!! Tonight is gonna be an early night. Maybe aided by melatonin or a toasted almond.
Well, you did just get off that not very long ago, so I guess they figured you’d been punished enough.

It was worth the trip in the blustery snow to see my friend at the Kopi Cafe. Very good food, I had a salmon sandwich, made with a warm toasted baguette, and tried two teas I haven’t had before, and a slice of flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Yummy! We were there for hours and really enjoyed ourselves. Now I’m home in my jammies and thinking about what to watch on Netflix.
I think it’s time to watch TV and veg the rest of my night away. It’s been a long day…
