Happy Firday! And happy first Friday Flex day to me! I get out at 3:00! Yay!
Spandex at the wedding? Not nearly as shocking as the Bridezilla I watched yesterday who had not only a moustache, but beard stubble! I am not making this up. She apparently shaves. Girl, haven’t you heard of Ideal Image???
nava, switch your accounts anyway. Who needs the headaches?
Tonight will be Steak & Shake burgers and Netflix Marley and Me in BluRay. Envy me.
Cicadas in Cottonfield County? Check. Became aware of them last night.
Worked a wreck on the way to irk this morning. Mostly boring story, but because it’s Firday, CG tradition is you wear Hawaiian shirts. So asked a Chesapeake EMT, “You a medic with Parks & Recreation?”
Good morning and happy Friday to all. Today is my “short” day; in other words, I only work eight hours today and get to leave at 3:30.
Welp, I did it. I went ahead and applied for that job. I’ll probably come back as not qualified, but what the hell, it’s worth a shot.
I came in today to a string of emails informing me that I will be doing a Business Case Analysis. I hate these. We have a specific format that we must use and it’s not at all user friendly. It’s very labor intensive and furthermore, when it comes to calculating costs to us for in-house care, there isn’t a good way to capture this because we’re a government entity. Wish me luck…
Tomorrow morning, I’m taking my dog back to the vet. Although he’s finally drinking (but only from the wheelbarrow and a bucket outside), he still refuses all food. I’ve tried everything and am at my wits end.
It’s hawt outside! Well, duh, swampy it is June! We decided to come in for a while and go back later in the day. OYKW is nappin’. I’d say he looks all cute lyin’ upon the bed asleep except for the awful noises. Oh well, he’s been fed so he’s sleepin’. He is a full and happy bear!
Not really Rosie. Katydids are bright green in color similar to a grasshopper of which they are a type. Cicadas are black/green in color and are only slightly less hideous to look at than cockroaches.
Ok MOG friend called and said everything is under control tux wise. The groom and groomsmen are all tuxed up. Yay! So, no tux delivery duty for me.
I do believe OYKW is risin’ from his nappy poo. Yep, his sleepy haid just peeked in the room.
TGIF! I’ve got the second load in the washer and the first in the dryer. Daughter takes Cosmo to the vet this afternoon. **FCD **and a friend are taking the boat out tomorrow. I’ll do some chores around the house till 6 when daughter and I go to the dance show.
That’s pretty much my plans for the weekend. Exciting, huh?
Papa John’s is makin’ dindin. Ya know what would be really impressive? Orderin’ a pizza online and havin’ it appear a few seconds later. Would that not be like the jakest thing evah!
OYKW has gone to pick it up. I said I would but he said he would so I said ok. I give in real easy on stuff like that.
Well, I am shocked! Shocked I say! I went out on the back porch and there were Liz and Ard fornicatin’ right by the back door! Have they no shame!
Apparently Ard is a horndawg. Right now he’s chasin’ Liz all over the back porch. She appears to be spurnin’ his advances. I guess once was enough.
Oh and I just checked the weather for tomorrow. This time tomorrow we will be at the big doin’s and the predicted temp is 95 Amurrkin with a heat index of 104! I’ll melt!
Good luck! Do you have any way to make sure that the hiring manager can make sure that the applications are screened correctly for the position? (Or, if they do reject your app, can you ask them to have the hiring manager review their decision?) I know what happens in our agency is that the HR staff who screen applicants don’t necessarily have a full understanding of the PD. When I have to hire someone, I have them tell me about every applicant so that I can make sure they haven’t screened anyone out incorrectly. (There’s a very small pool that’s qualified for my positions and I know just about every internal applicant who is qualified. Last time, I even had them tell me about the external applicants.)
Congrats on the CD, rosie!
Heh.
We were supposed to have scattered showers later tonight. Instead, we had a brief, but energetic (and thunderboomer-filled) storm at noon and another one in the past hour.
