The MMP is my unlikely friend

My laptop is being held hostage at work by our IT guy. He is starting to loose confidence in my eyes, he has had my computer for 3 days now trying to reestablish my Sonic Wall and VPN for my remote desktop connection since I telecommute, and he is coming up with all sorts of theories as to why it will not connect or recognize my IP address on the network, and no solutions. I am getting irritated. This hasn’t ever been an issue the 1 and a half I have been here, and now all of a sudden it’s my “anti-virus software making it not work”. UNLIKELY. I am not a techy, but even I know "IT DON’T WORK LIKE THAT! Just fix my damn computer so I can get my work done.

Ergh

Back from all the running around. I did not get to the bait shop as I was in the wrong lane on Overly Busy Avenue when I needed to make a turn. I just went to the laundromat and spent the whole time running back and forth between there and home. I also couldn’t put in my new headlight bulb because I couldn’t figure out how to get at the headlight assembly. I guess I’ll have to ask Maintenance M for some help and a wrench tomorrow.

And then I get the stuff to make chili and once again forget the kidney beans.

I give up on today.

I spent my lunchtime playing fake poker on my phone, and now have over a million fake dollars. So, I accomplished something?

Ate lunch, went to Gino’s. I got Sah-son a caramel marshmallow milkshake, that was a new flavor. Sounded gross to me but I don’t like milkshakes anyway. He said it was a little sweet but not bad.

I have a dilemma and I know the correct answer but sometimes the correct thing to do isn’t the easiest thing to do. Sometimes there is no right thing to do.

Howdy from da cave! Here long enough to get steakes and beer and headin’ on over to the church house to wash N.O.T. for bakin’ and make sallit for tonight cause I’m all nice like that.

Laterz!

Apes, depending on how much of a noob he is, make sure he checks the time and time zone–if it is more than 5 minutes off, the server will tell it to pound sand.

You bring the shovel, we will bring the lime…

A whoosh, a joke, or do you know something I don’t?

I had to watch Dr Phil today
Krazy Khalood was back on.
She is one screwed up woman.

How about I bring the tequila and y’all bring the limes?

There is a Battle of the Junior High Photos going on between two of my Facebook friends right now. I made some unfortunate fashion choices in the early nineties, but I suppose everybody else did, too.

(about the time being off)

A lot of VPN / remote access systems are highly dependent on accurate time. They do have a couple of minutes’ leeway, but if your PC’s clock or the remote access token’s internal clock drifts off too fat, you’re toast

Meanwhile, who unplugged me? I’ve been utterly blah all day with no energy. It’s been a couple of days since taking any Percocet, so I can’t blame this on narcotics. It has been hot in here while waiting for the AC repair guy to show up, so maybe it’s just that. It’s running now, but the house is still 77 degrees. Warmer than I’d like, but a far improvement from what it was at lunchtime.

Like Jynx, **FCD **and I don’t really have any friends around here, even tho we’ve lived here for 9 years. It’s not that we’ve made enemies, it’s just that we were mostly working and we’re not involved in any church or clubs. On one hand, it’d be nice to have another couple to hang out with, but on the other hand, it seems most of the people we meet these days just piss us off. :stuck_out_tongue: But that’s fine - we have each other.

Hoping against hope that the big boss lady will let me take off for the balance of the month, but no word as of quitting time today. So we shall see what goes on.

My tea towels are selling really well! So I’ll be making more, probably tonight. The paint has to dry for 3 days before I can iron it to set it, so if I do them tonight, I can deliver them on Firday.

Salmon and veggies for supper.

Happy what’s-left-of-Moanday!

We had quail for supper. I’m continuing to work on crafts for Saturday’s craft fair.

Woke up with a lovely case of the whirlies and a significant rightward tilt when walking. I could also map my sinuses on my face with a pen by tracing around the outlines of pressure, so my current theory is that the sinus cloggage is messing up inner ears. Just took a dose of decongestants, we shall see.

My package finally got here.
I ordered online from Dollar General because I got 20% off and free shipping. I wish they offered everything online but unfortunately they don’t. I’m still full from lunch so dinner will be later.

Time to stencil. So I must bid farewell to teh intrarwebz for the evening…

Howdy Y’all! Home from men’s night over to the chruch house. 'Twas a great time as usual. However, I’s tahrd!

Midget speakin’ of quail, one great southern USofA tradition is the “Quail Supper.” This consists of fried quail, rice ‘n grav (made from fried quail drippin’s, flour and milk) and bizkits. We’re talkin’ some goooooooood eatin’. By way of dessert, ‘Nanner Puddin’ is the most acceptable, but any kind of cake or cobbler will also suffice. Should fried apple or peach pies appear well, all the better.

Sari you bring the tequila, doggio and I will make sure a sufficient supply of limes and salt are available, right doggio? Remember, always, one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, FLOOR !

That quail supper thingy sounds delicious, swampy.

I don’t get it. The wife just took my years old iPhone 4 and traded it it on an iPhone 5. It was $100. She asked if we got a trade in value on the old one. He looked at it and said yeah, we’ll give you $116.

I’ve got a better, clearer, bigger phone w/ Siri and they paid me to switch. Huh?
