The MMP is my unlikely friend

: drags over lime orchard :

irked, came home.

Only three huh?
I still remember most of a day many years ago when I drank 4 pints of tequila. I still say it was only 3 but everyone else said it was 4.
I never hit the floor but from what I heard* I* had a really good time.

Kind of my payback to everybody. I always was the designated driver and hauling their drunk butts around, that day they got to take care of me. I heard it wasn’t an easy job.

Doggio, how much tequila am I going to need to bring?

The downside of it is learning to pick birdshot out of your teeth.:wink:

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 92 for the day and dry. We did have a little rain overnight, not much I’m sure, but the driveway is wet. That was my clue.

sari back in my wilder days I was often the designated driver as well. Every once in a while I’d declare it was my night and I’d make the most of it.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Niece has been introduced to hair metal and according to reports thinks that big hair is silly. I’m so glad I came of age in the grunge-influenced late '90s. If we brushed our hair, we were being dressy.

Happy birthday to me (yesterday)! We actually celebrated on Sunday. My son was here for his first weekend home from college, and I won Best in Show at the art fair I did on Saturday.

I made myself an awesome birthday cake – coconut poke cake. Basically, you bake a sheet cake from a mix (I used a coconut cake mix), poke holes in it when it comes out of the oven, then pour a can of sweetened condensed milk and a can of coconut cream (the stuff you use in pina coladas) over it. Most recipes call for it to be frosted with whipped cream, but I used regular frosting, topped with toasted coconut. It was very decadent, and I sent most of it with my son when he returned to campus. I just ate the last piece this morning for breakfast.

Security ‘feature’
The kicker is it can be the right TIME, but you can be in DST, it thinks it is in PDT, and all the data cares about is GMT.
Just another little gift from Active Directory, Micro$oft’s gift that keeps on giving.
Think digital Herpes.

Where did you obtain said quail? Inquiring minds would like to know. I happen to like the not commonly used meat types. Also how did you prepare it?

It is Tuesday. Blurf. Can’t stop thinking about what happened in the Navy Yard yesterday. I work in a building, but it is not on a base, that is leased by NAVSEA. I talk routinely with people in the building where everything happened. So far I don’t know anyone directly involved, but not all the names have been released :(.

On a slightly lighter note, my socks clash really badly with my jacket. I had planned on wearing a pink colored jacket by changed my mind at the last minute to yellow. Now I have NEON PINK socks, with orange skulls, and a yellow, white and black jacket on. Go me!

The one person I know at the Navy Yard responded to my e-mail. Since she gave me a one word response, I’m inferring that she was close to the scene and is VERY freaked out.

Happy birthday freckafree!

It’s only 8 AM and I’ve already been working on crafts for the last hour. Must get back to it, and then head to work.

Right around the middle of my senior year (early spring of '94, I’d say), big hair was suddenly no longer acceptable. But all of the yearbook pictures had already been taken. So a few months later all of those smoothed, straightened, glossy-haired girls were rudely reminded of their former permed, crimped, and teased glory.

I didn’t have the energy to do much beyond make sure my hair was clean, so I looked pretty much the same. In fact, I would say that with the exception of darkening with age, I might be sporting the exact same hair I had in my senior pic.

Happy Tuesday!

It’s a cool (okay chilly) breezy 51 degrees outside and the breeze is coming right in my window… BRRRRR! The projected high is 68.
It is perfect sleeping weather

Today is pizza day YAY! I’m usually not all that excited about pizza day but today I am. I is also laundry day BOO! I’m never excited about doing laundry.

I may have to close my window, my hands are getting cold, it really is breezy out there.

Happy Birthday FREEBIE !!!

Cool beans LIEU

I’m with you Drae my hair is longer and darker now than in HS but it’s still the same style. I never liked poofy hair on me. Once in a while I’ll get a perm that I will brush out after it dries so I get some nice waves.

I have one sort of friend who works for the Navy but I’m not sure where he works other than it’s in DC? Or maybe Bethesda? He goes overseas a lot too. I’m going to call him or his wife later today to make sure everything is ok although I suspect if it wasn’t I would have heard.

Happy Birthday Freebie!!

I have many things to do at home and in general, and none of them are getting done while I’m sitting here at my desk. My life is hard.

In the event of a power failure, you are to immediately climb to the top of the nearest lighthouse & sit in the middle of the Fresnel lens!

I am home sick today. I have a doctor’s appointment in about an hour. I’m waiting for some (non-doctor related) news where it seems that none of the outcomes are going to be stellar. Sitting here waiting is killing me. Ugh.

Happy Birthday, freebie!

I just walked into town, in the rain, in sandals, to go deal with the work programme eejits- they did give me £30 in vouchers to buy clothes for the new job, so I decided to go do some shopping.

Bought a pair of warm waterproof boots, for all the standin’ around I expect to be doing… then carried then home (plus a pair of socks I’d brought for trying them on) for the half hour walk, in the rain, wearing sandals… Hmm. thoughtful look

ETA- Oops, missed the happy birthdaying! Terribly remiss of me.

Happy belated birthday Freebie!

Belated happies, freebie!

It is cold and wet outside, I am inside and cold. This does not make for a happy Boo. Luckily I will be going home in 36mins, even though that does involve going outside in the rain where it will most likely feel much warmer than it does in my office.

Nuts, if you’d wanted to walk home in waterproof boots and warm socks, you would have needed to buy a towel to dry your feet first. Do the vouchers cover that too?

Well, the only bad thing is that it came with Siri and not Sari. I asked but they said Oh, that would be much more expensive.
